Oh and Rayven - In the UNSC's defense, some were orphans :P
And on a technicality, none are KIA. Always laughed at that, the ultimate denial.
That was the Spartan III's who were all orphans. (Who were chosen because they were basically enhanced suicide squads)

All II's are listed as MIA, for morale purposes. Though only a few are actually MIA, Fred, Kelly, Linda, John, Alice and all of Grey Team.

Spartans may be cool and all, but they ain't no Space Marines

Halo: Tells a laughably generic story for an incredibly generic shooter whose popularity continues to utterly baffle me and seems to be due entirely to the fact the console crowd has never played an FPS before. Or has completely forgotten Goldeneye. You'll note that the PC crowd generally gives a flaming rat's ass about Halo.

Pokemon: Commercially speaking, its approaching evil empire standards, but at least its original. The characters focus on positive messages like friendship and sportsmanship. The game's are well designed and enjoyable enough even for older players. The violence is cartoony and non lethal.

Gee, I really don't know which one of those is sending the worst message to the youth of America. I just can't figure it out.
You can't figure it out because the youth of America shouldn't be playing Halo. It's rated M. Your point is invalid. ;p

If they're getting a message from it, it's "My parents are failing".

Not everyone is going to like every game. Play nice, or all deathmatch you all in Quake

    Ok chill peoples.

Pokemon - Not my cup of tea, but, some people like it
Halo - Awesome sauce and all, but, some people also don't like it.

Everyone will like and rank games differently, and one person isn't more right or wrong than the other. Racing vs RPG vs FPS etc.

*takes off not a mod hat*

    C.F.T. -- Corrected For Truth!

Let's compare the 2 franchises and determine which one is really worse, shall we?

Halo: Tells the story of a (one of many, mass kidnapped) genetically-engineered, cybernetically-enhanced, armored super soldier who bravely defends Earth and its colonies against a hostile extraterrestrial invasion. One installment tells a side story, about a "Rookie" Orbital Drop Shock Trooper that gets separated from his unit during the extraterrestrial invasion of Earth.
There I Fixed it for you.

You like Halo. That puts you a hell of a lot lower higher on the totem pole than someone who likes Pokemon.

Pokémon: Teaches kids to go around capturing rare animals, and then make them FIGHT EACH OTHER IN AN ARENA, in a so-called "sport" that is suspiciously similar to cock fighting and dog fighting, 2 "sports" that are ILLEGAL in the United States of America!

Gee, I really don't know which one of those is sending the worst message to the youth of America. I just can't figure it out.

    I've got a new addiction, Haven&Hearth

The server is currently down though

It's sort of like Wurm/Runescape, in that it's a online survival/farming etc etc game where you can build your own houses and create your own villages and mines and stuff. You just need Java to play it, it's 2D isometric, kinda like harvest moon.

If anyone is going to play it and try it out but wants a helping hand at starting PM me before creating a character and I'll give you my Hearth secret, which basically lets you spawn right where I am, so then i can share resources with you and pretty much help you along your starting steps. You need to pm me for the hearth secret first, as odds are if you don't have it, you won't spawn anywhere near me. Heck, eventually we could create our own CS village lol.

Seriously? You still play those Chinpokomon games? Wow. That's really... Interesting.

The next month, month and a half is gonna be rough for me. Just look at all the great stuff coming out for gamers!
    1. Halo Legends on DVD (the Halo anime! ^_^) on February 9th!
    2. Borderlands: The Zombie Island of Dr. Ned Expansion Pack for Xbox 360 on February 23rd!
    3. Battlefield: Bad Company 2 for Xbox 360 and PC on March 2nd!
And all while I'm supposed to be saving up every dollar I can so I can get a new car.

Just have to resist bringing it to the counter with the box half stuffed in the waistband of my jeans whilst I caress it gingerly. I'd hate to get arrested and end up on the news as the guy that was wandering the store with the hand of the life sized cardboard Commander Shepard stuffed down the front of his pants.

Although only because they wouldn't have a computer in the cell to play it on.
