  • One Superpower:

If you had a choice of one superpower, what would it be?

You can only choose one superpower. It must be a specific one. You can create it, but be careful not to god-mode it.

You can list and describe all of the superpowers that you'd actually like to have, but you can only actually choose but a single one of them.

I suppose I would choose the power of transformation. Basically I'd be able to transform any part of me (or the whole) into anything I can imagine, as long as it can still support life. The voice box can transform just a little bit so that it could mimic someone else's voice box. Wings could sprout and bones could become hollow to allow flight. Any damage can be instantly restored, as it is considered part of the transformation process; it's not true transformation, but a quick alteration. Like clay, perhaps - any crack in the clay can very easily be mended by remoulding it.

A superpower I'd like to have, is one in which any text I read, I can hear it in the voice of the person who wrote it. That way you can tell if a person is a man, woman, other, or machine.

The power to become invisible and intangible would be a lovely power, as long as there are precautions against reappearing inside walls or people.

I also helped shape a friend's superpower. He wanted something like Invisibility, but I convinced him to take on the powers of the Invisible Woman. You could generate auras around you or others, or around specific areas of space, connected or not, with different properties. You could surrounding yourself and your possessions, a mere millimeter away from your skin, with a field which would warp space/time to simulate invisibility. You could create a thin eggshell wall around a person that would have time negated for anything in its very thin shell, so the person within it would be essentially bulletproof, as bullets would just hang there. The field would have to be heavily speckled though, to allow at least some light and air inside. Bullets would be somewhat larger than that of course.

Easy.....I'd want telepathy. I have a tendency to fret over what people might be thinking about me or something I said/did. Telepathy would solve the problem. Of course, it'd also be a double-edged sword, but at least I'd know.

      Oh boy superpowers.

Your about the Transformation is really cool!

I think if I had to chose a "super power" though it would have to be something that one of my characters has. It's pretty much the ability to move though and with shadows. Basically you can slip into a shadow at point X and come out at point Y...usually has to be in the same general area though not like Go in in Kansas and come out in London. It also gives you the ability to seem invisible, because you actually go INTO the shadow not just stand in it. and added plus is the shade factor, you can pull the shadows from you clothes over your skin a little and use it as sunblock... though not totally effective it helps prevent a burn for a little bit. ^_^ That would be what I would want.

Something I have always though was an awesome power was Gambit's. How awesome would it be to be able to blow shit up just by touching it!?((provided of course you could chose when to))

I would choose the ability to see into the future. I'd win the lottery a few times and just have fun. The only time that'd really suck is when I'm watching a movie or trying to watch some sort of sporting even.

It is IMPOSSIBLE to watch a game after you know the score. I've tried it many times and always fail. I can see where knowing the future wouldn't always be good. I love watching basketball, football and golf.

Mind control. The ability to make people do what you want them to.

As fun as superspeed, flight, super-stretching, shooting laser beams out of your eyes, all of that would be... Mind Control.

The ability to create slightly altered copies of an item up to the size of a hardcover book.

Then I would take a dollar bill, or lottery ticket and alter what I needed too (serial number etc.)

Of course there is an honorable mention that I came across in a webcomic: semen that tastes like strawberries and has the addictive power of heroin.

Teleportation, hands down. The ability to transport myself and anything I was touching and CHOSE to bring with me instantaneously from one location to another.

I can see where the learning curve for teleporting would be fun too. Ooops! Forgot my pants, be back in a jiff! *poof* *shirt flutters to the floor*

What kittish said - think of the money you'd save on airfare! I'd add to that the fact that if you're touching someone (at least touching the front or back half of their torso), you can take them with you.

Telekinesis by far. You could use it when feeling particularly lazy and get the soda from the fridge without moving. I've also had a recurring fantasy that I would use it to get back at SC's. Just a little tug of the hair or an kick to the hiney without anyone being there. Or use it to scare the bejeebus out of them with floating objects and laugh as they run screaming.

See now it would depend. If I said recover from any body damage would it be another superpower to not be able to feel the pain? Cause the whole Painkiller Jane version of healing wouldn't be worth it.

Otherwise it would be teleportation. Like other said it would be cool to go from one place to another in a flash, plus I mean think of the cash you could pull in being a tele taxi for people.

I agree!!! Anyone comes to attack you, you can just lift them away from you. Heavy lifting become a cinch. In a traffic jam? Just lift your car and float it to a different street. The possibilities are endless...
If you don't like my attitude, talk to the manager!!! Oh, wait, that would be me!!

My stock answer, probability manipulation, probably comes under the god mode.

Otherwise machine/electronics empathy. Like Micah in Heroes.

                              Pyrokinesis.

The rest of the list would be the ability to heal (myself and other people), animal telepathy, and shape-shifting.
