Still slogging through Widow Of The South. I made it my bedtime book, so it's a little easier to read now.

And I'm re-reading Vows by LaVyrle Spencer for the 100th time. And soon I'll be starting in on some more Nora Roberts' book that my Mom is lending me. NR tends to be hit-or-miss with me.
    I'm bringing disdain back...with a vengeance.

Oh, and your tool box called...you got out again.

      Went to Borders last night...

Saw they had "Sense and Sensibility...and Sea Monsters!!!!!"

LOL. I still have Pride, Prejudice and Zombies on my shelf to read, but I will be picking that up when I can.

Tonight, I decided to pull back out one of my all-time favorite purchases found in the Bargain Books section at Barnes & Noble: The Hamburger Companion: A Connoisseur's Guide to the Food We Love by David Graulich!

This wonderful, short little book (only a little over 100 pages) is all about America's love affair with our nation's favorite way to enjoy beef when eating out... and it's GUARANTEED to make you want to immediately go to your favorite burger place and buy a hot, juicy burger!

Next on my list: Tracking down and buying his other 2 books along the same lines: The Hot Dog Companion and The French Fry Companion!

All 3 books are long out-of-print, so it's time to turn to my mad used book locating skills to track the other 2 down!

Once again, reading the biography of Mary, Queen of Scots by Antonia Fraser.

              Good stuff.

I'm part way into the new Pratchett book "Unseen Academicals."

It's a cracking read with some new Ankh Morpork characters (and the Faculty) rather than just being what adventures can Vimes and Carrott have today!

I'm going to start reading "The Road" for my english class. It's the same author who wrote "No Country for Old Men"
They also have a movie coming out for it, and it looks really good. Viggo Mortensen, Charlize Theron, etc. A quick search on youtube will bring up the trailer.
I can't wait to read it, I just haven't been out to buy it yet

And now I'm on the second book of yet another Irish trilogy by Nora Roberts, along with "Queen of France" by Andre Castelot, not to mention Outlander by Diana Gabaldon again (gotta get ready for her newest by rereading the others!).

Right now, it's Cross Country by James Patterson (what else would I be reading?)

In this one, Detective Alex Cross is investigating a series of brutal family slayings that lead him on a trip across half the globe. Not sure how it turns out (I'm on Chapter 47 now) but I'm sure the ending will be a doozie.

Now if some of the other books in the series would become movies like the first two (Kiss The Girls and Along Came A Spider) that would be megaawsome.

I've been rereading a lot of my old scifi books, most notably Dune and Ender's Game. I also just finished American Gods and need to seek out another Neil Gaiman book the next time I go to the library.

I have a lot of books checked out right now, but they're mostly things I borrowed for the illustrations. They're gallery show books but mostly from Germany or France so I couldn't read them even if I wanted to.
