Noone is ever disabled, except for the occasional person with a hunchback which is purely cosmetic.
    Seshat's self-help guide:
    1. Would you rather be right, or get the result you want?
    2. If you're consistently getting results you don't want, change what you do.
    3. Deal with the situation you have now, however it occurred.
    4. Accept the consequences of your decisions.

Wait, wait! Who did Quest for Camelot? Was that Disney or not? Cuz that guy was blind.

Okay, anyone see Enchanted? Best "Cast breaks into song" EVAR.

I love Quest for Camelot. It had some excellent songs. It was made by Warner Brothers Pictures. I remember buying it on VHS after getting some money for Christmas.

Disney didn't do Anastasia or Thumbalina, either. Those and Quest were basically other companies trying to bring down the Mouse.

Fact: No one can EVER bring down the mouse.

For me, it's that any 'historical' movie or series done by Disney (Davy Crockett, Swamp Fox, etc.) bears no resemblance to what really happened.

No, but if their heros were as awesome as Dimitri from Anastasia is, they might come close.

Few Disney heros have much personality, although with the newer movies, they are getting better.

Something else I learned from Disney movies (and many other Hollywood movies and TV shows): The Hero, who is a truly decent and upstanding guy, ALWAYS defeats the Bad Guys and then gets the Girl, who is beautiful and sweet and caring and hopelessly devoted to him, and the 2 of them then go off to live Happily Ever After. WHAT A CROCK OF SHIT!!! That bears absolutely NO resemblance to reality whatsoever!!!

Or at least voiced by John Cusack. ^w^

To give Sleeping Beauty credit, that movie was more about the magic-users than the royals. More Fairies vs Mistriess of All Evil/Dragon Queen of OMG You Totally Didn't Invite Me than Prince vs Bad Guy.

Those magic users were the biggest idiots of all time.

Let me get this straight...they raise the princess in the woods for sixteen years that she is NOT in any danger, but on the day of her sixteenth birthday, the day the death curse is suposed to happen and she's supposed to die, they screw around with their wands and send up all this magical crap that everyone can see and figure out where she is?

And then take her home and present her as the princess before midnight on the day she's supposed to be attacked?

                      Seriously?

Dimitri was John Cusack? I didn't realize that, I like John Cusack. :-)

I didn't say they were SMART protagonists. I just said that's what the movie focused on.

And yes, Dimitri was John Cusack. I didn't know when I watched it, either. ^w^

I learned that any fairy tale can be kidnapped and tortured by the mouse until it's 'child friendly'. Seriously? I grew up on straight up Grim's and didn't meet Disney's princesses until a sleep over in kindergarten.

Needless to say the mothers of the other girls were not pleased with my 'correction' of Cinderella.
Me to a friend: I know I'm crazy, you know I'm crazy, the zombies at the end of the world will know I'm crazy. Thus not eating my brain for fear of ingesting the crazy. It's my survival plan.

I've always been fond of Rescuers Down Under.

Seriously, who didn't want to soar over the edge of that waterfall and land on the back of a giant golden eagle??

Also, I totally had a crush on Bernard.
Rescuers Down Under is one of the rare instances that the sequel was BETTER than the original.

I learned that a movie that's less than a year old can be called a classic.
(I've had people try to tell me that the stories are classics, but they're so Disney-ized that they bear almost no resemblance to the original stories.)

I learned that nobody ever has to pay for housing.

I learned that no matter how horrible your life is, if you're a good, kind person, you can triumph over the villian, find your true love, and live happily ever after.
"I look at the stars. It's a clear night and the Milky Way seems so near. That's where I'll be going soon. "We are all star stuff." I suddenly remember Delenn's line from Joe's script. Not a bad prospect. I am not afraid. In the meantime, let me close my eyes and sense the beauty around me. And take that breath under the dark sky full of stars. Breathe in. Breathe out. That's all."
