  • 475 calories from a double-bill hill. I may go again later tonight to do the same trip.

    • I've found that cutting half my daily soda intake makes me eat more sugar then I usually do.

      • 485 calories on the hill tonight. Interesting - I added the one Kg ankle weights on each leg this time. A mere extra ten calories.

        I must be getting good at this.

        However, I'm up to 3100 calories since Monday, according to the watch.

        • I wasn't able to do my running last night. I didn't feel well and only made it 15 minutes, a little over a mile. My ankles were still hurting. T-T

          • Hit the hill four times (I think - stopped counting when I saw something shiny).

            970 calories, one hour fifteen minutes, and I'm over 4k calories for the week.

            • Oh yes, I'm down to about 18 stones, so that's about two pounds lost in the week. There were some indications that I was a touch below, but I think eighteen is a reasonable declaration of gut size.

              • We had our first proper gym session this afternoon.

                My verdict is a big resounding: OWWWW!!!

                Still no pain no gain.

                And, as i was driving to work this morning, I suddenly realised that I think i was driving up Rap's hill. I might have to cruise up adn down there shouting out helpful words of encouragement one evening if i am feeling sadistic! (or suicidal!!)

                • Threw my back out by doing too many reps at too high a weight. I had increased my weight machine workouts to a good hundred pounds pumping. It was too much, I am bend like a troll and stoned on oxycontin.

                  • I hope you recover quickly, calulu!

                    I haven't worked out since last Monday night due to the cold I got last Tuesday. Since breathing was sometimes an issue just at rest, getting that heart rate up wasn't a good idea. I'm still not 100% better! But my weight did go down despite the non-workout status due to loss of appetite/sense of taste, so that is something.

                      Still trying to shake off the bad habits from my months of 4000 calorie diets, after dropping to 72 pounds

                      • 1 hour, 3 miles (exactly 3.00, actually, and I wasn't even watching the display!).

                        I want it to get just a teeny bit warmer so I can go to the park.

                          My name is One-Fang, and I would like to get more in shape. "Back" in shape? Never in my life have I been as fit as I am now. But now that 35kg or so are gone, I have been very complacent. "I've made it - I can stop now". NOOO!!!

                          I still need to work. I still need to get fitter. And when it comes to size - I still have some way to go.

                          When I started dropping weight I thought "this is great!" and took on a personal trainer certification. That is now complete, though I probably won't pursue it as a career. So if there are questions and aren't already six pro fitness experts here ...

                            • Okay Im back, I was slack for a few days I know but hey Im only human right.

                              Its no fun to workout when your head is pounding and you can barely get off the couch to blow your nose let alone sweat!
                              I did manage two workouts last week and kept my eating to a healthy minimum, pumping myself with fruit and veges to try and shake whatever I had.

                              Sunday morning I always make a hot breakfast, this week we tried something new, creamcheese and strawberry stuffed french toast. I covered 3/4 of my plate with extra strawberries and cantalope slices, then made two slices of french toast and put warmed creamcheese and strawberry slices in the middle. It was SOOOOOOOOOOO good!

                              First workout for the week, 600 calories done in 47 minutes. Im really trying to rev up for summer as it gets hot here FAST, in another month or so we should already be in the 20's despite it snowing today.

                              Goals for March 09 are

                              Im going to work up to 700 calories by the end of the week
                              make sure all of my workouts are done before 11am (unless we have a lawyer appointment)
                              Walk for an hour with K after dinner
                              Sort through clothes and throw out ANYTHING that is too big

                              • LOL Raps, I don't know if the hill really has the sufficient motivation for cheating.

                                I did a circuit class today, but now don't feel like going to cardio class tonight! It's kind of a bummer. I have a multi-pass thing for this class, which is only on Wednesdays, and I'm always too tired after circuit after work on Wednesdays to go! I like the class ... but I just don't feel like it right now.

                                But I did have Subway for dinner and no cookie!
