But I will try to get to the gym at least every weekday. Dammit, I will NOT buy new pants!
Yes, you will! They will be smaller sizes!
I'm looking forward to having to buy some new clothes - not there yet, not sure where I will get the money for it, but I will be there. I have confidence people posting regularly here will be too.
Went tonight even though my workout buddy skipped out for the 3rd day in a row. Same workout as last night - 33 min elliptical (program is 28 min w/5 min cool-down) and 25 min treadmill - 20 min program, more inclines than yesterday w/5 min cool-down where I ran for about a min-90 sec. My knee doesn't care for running, so I'm going to slowly convince it that it's fine.
Tonight I did three of the upper-body machines too, going up 10lbs from where I was comfortable for the first shorter set and then down 10 for the longer 2nd sets on each one.
Eating - not so good this week. I'm PMS'ing! LOL so the weight loss, I'll be happy just to maintain, but look forward to the week after when I'm not craving salt and retaining water as a result.
A few days of bad eating happens to us all, and I have heard a few exercise peeps say that is actually a good thing to slip a few days....I forget the reason (besides maybe its a motivator?)
Not hitting the gym since I've been hiking more.....just got back from a fun 5 hour hike walking all over a "Giant." Been seeing a change....had a coworker compliment me.....haven't weighed myself in awhile (besides weighing my pack to see how much I was carrying, lol)

Ok quick question for you guys. I went with hubby and his friend on their frisbee golfing adventure. I thought it would be a nice walk, golf course style. Nope, about 2 miles of hiking through the woods aka the course. (Omaha/CB people, it was over at IWCC if that helps)
How does one count that in terms of poss calories burned/time spent? It was a lot of climbing/walking then pausing, then back to climbing/walking.
BTW, never volunteer to be water girl. Huge 5ltr bottle isn't heavy at first...*goes off to find missing arms*
I found a few calculators online that said in my 5hr hike up&down hills with a pack, I burned from 1700-2000 cals ( I would post them, but they had a few pop ups...so If anyone is reading at work, less window to close if boss walks by )
Hope that helps! I think a regular hike is about 300 cal/hr...plus pretty views

55 minutes for three trips on the hill, and 700 calories gone. Gusty wind made this easier - took away a large amount of body heat (a major problem for me).
Did 2500 calories last week. Am thinking of trying to get 3k this week.
I cant do my E machine today because were having our water tank replaced... I usually workout in the morning but didnt want to be sweating in front of the tradesman, they were supposed to be here at 9am... its 11:20 now and they still haven't turn up!
By now I'm usually done, showered and dressed!!!!!
Now that its above zero K and I are going to start walking for an hour a night after dinner, if we keep a good pace that should get about 400 calories knocked off. I will usually do that on top of my usual workout but tonight it will have to suffice.
I might fit in a yoga dvd depending on how long they take this afternoon.

Kiwi - they're TRADESMEN, not the judges for Canada's Got Talent. Who cares if they see you sweaty, really?

Raps - Woo hoo - still going! Good on ya!
Kiwi - walking after dinner every day is a great idea!
I haven't had any exercise in days. Sigh. Planned some good stuff but the weekend was rainy. Mondays are difficult due to a regularly scheduled activity in the evening, although yesterday it did involve walking for about an hour so at least it wasn't sedentary. Today I would normally go do something after work but I'm giving blood and the only time slot they could give me is just before work finishes (I can do that). So I can't squeeze in some exercise first, and shouldn't after. And there's all those tempting choccie biccies on the table after!

your right, but they are also K's friends and I would feel very awkward. How about I do an extra 50 cals a day to make up for today's workout ?
I should be bumping it up to 650 this week anyway.

I'm turning into a gym rat! My friend from work went tonight but left before me. As did two guys who came in after me. LOL Unfortunately, the guy I was hoping to see wasn't there tonight.
45 min Elliptical w/my highest resistance, 4 sets each of the upper body/arms machines, 10 min on the reclining bike (waiting for the treadmills to free up - oh, my hamstrings!) and then 10 on the treadmill including 2 min of jogging/running.
Think I overdid it a little, was a long time between lunch and dinner (Subway, turkey w/no cheese or mayo or the like) so I've had a nagging headache. But I am determined to lose more than 1 lb this week!
