I think im catching the spring cold thats going around... just in time for the weekend YAY!
K had it earlier this week and Im experiancing the exact same symptoms so Im off to bed until I feel better.
No exercise for you while you're ill, you'll only prolong your recovery time.
Did another mile this morning, feels like I didn't really do anything. I'm going to take the weekend off, I've got the same cold you're getting, Kiwi, and I'm just going to sleep as much as possible.
When I start on Monday I think I'm going to do the mile, plus 1/2 and hour on the Wii Fit. I just wish I had a regular schedule at work so I could work out at the same time every day. It's really hard to motivate myself to get up at 6am to work out when I don't have to be at work until 2pm, but if I don't then I find it hard to get up at 6am when I have to be at work at 8 or 9am.
I'm into the ironic stage, I think. My pulse is lower, and I can do the exercise faster, but to burn the same amount of energy is now taking nearly fifty percent longer.
I suppose that's not bad after about two weeks, but it's bloody annoying

I agree with that one! I'm in the same stage right now so I'm trying to mix up my routine some so my body isn't as used to it. We'll see if it works.....
Currently weighing about 18 stone and 2 pounds, which may be about a pound down on last week. Considering a couple of the meals I had, that's not too bad. Watch reckons I did 2900 calories last week - nearly a pound in weight.
Did the hill twice this morning - would have gone for three or four, but I am off to see the Watchmen very soon, so... If I don't get called into work this afternoon (which will be physical), then I'll try for another three or four. The bit I did, though, which used to be 640 calories when I started, was now 470 calories. Irony indeed!
758 more calories on the hill of doom - a second dose had me hitting it three times. I suppose it helps pay off the debt I owe that Belgian waffle sundae I had whislt waiting for Watchmen to start, and the burgers I'm going to George Foreman the bum out of...
im done another 600 calorie workout, ive switched my system a little, as my ultimate goal is 700 a day for 5 days, Im going to do that many calories as quickly as I an, so far ive increased 100 calories and STILL dropped a minute off my time
tomorrow im going to 625 then 650 then 675 then 700 etc
working hard!

I'm trying to use my mountain bike at least once a week (hey, it's a start). Actually went on an estimated 8-9 mile ride Saturday morning. I'm also going to try to take one of the dogs for a long walk a few times a week.
Also - with leftover Chinese food, I'm going to use a smaller plate. They way, I don't fill up a large plate and try to eat it all, I can easily handle the smaller plate and if I want more, I can get more.
Since that damn flu is going away (finally) I'm back to using the stairs at work, too.
I'm thinking of taking up fencing. Looking at my projected costs vs income, I could probably afford it. I signed up for the Intro class tonight, and I think it'd be fun to take up a sport. AND I can still hit the gym afterwards.
Now I just have to deal with this headache. ><

I need one of those fancy shmancy reading body fat/lean mass scales because I've been doing the circuit training machines, running on the treadmill and doing exercises classes religiously at the gym this month. The first few weeks every day I got a few more ounces skinnier until I'd lost about ten. I'd done nothing different but add weights and reps to the circuit trainer iron pumping machines and I've suddenly gained 4 pounds. I hope it's just muscle replacing fat.

well technically K got it for one of his christmas presents (he pointed it out in November) and hes obsessed with it. He has spreadsheets for everything that you can measure on this machine... even bone density!

Only lost a total .5 pounds since last week, but that's ok because my weight went up middle of last week. But that's still ok, glad to have lost something (damn my friend and her new ice cream shop I had to go support!).
Tonight I did 45 min + 5 cool-down on the elliptical and 15 min + 5 min cool-down on the treadmill and then some upper body machines. 650 calories more or less. My friend couldn't go due to issues at her house from the rain, but that's fine - I've decided I don't need to leave when she does because I find myself wanting to do more most of the time.
Sooo...I think I mentioned this somewhere, but I recently went to the doc with migraines tension headaches, and he recommended 30-60 minutes of physical activity most days. Guess how many days I've done? If you guessed 0, then you get a cookie. Well, maybe not a cookie. Carrot sticks?
I just can't get motivated to do anything. Part of my problem is that I can't exercise in front of people. I just can't do it, I feel like everybody's staring at the fatty on the elliptical. I'm even a bit self-concious walking around my neighborhood. I feel like if I can get started doing something, then maybe I can work up to using the student gym...but I can't seem to get over the hump.

I had the same fear and guess what? Once I forced myself to dress and undress in the dressing room in front of others and no one threw up, screamed, pointed our ran away crying it was all much easier. And then I stopped looking at the floor while dressing/undressing and working out and discovered I wasn't the only one there with an imperfect body+lots of fat. I wasn't even close to the fattest one or with the most body issues.
Now I look forward to going. My butt has shrunken and most of the bumpy orange peel cellulite from the back of my thighs is gone. My body is reshaping and getting smaller even if the scale says I gained 4 pounds.
