  • Exercise bike obtained. Going to try a half hour or so tonight to see how my knees react - I have a day in the office tomorrow to recover.

    • I'm pretty sure I'd mentioned it before, but this month I'm doing an abs month. This will be the last week obviously, so here's what I'm sitting at...

233 lbs. with a goal of 200 lbs.
      Everyday - 200 crunches, 6.75 miles ran.
Next "rest" day occurs after the 230 lb. barrier is broken.

Next month will be a legs month, meaning I will constantly push myself to do weightlifting with my legs before and after my shift as well as on my breaks and lunches. The first week will be at slightly over 7 miles running everyday, too. A rest day involves me allowing myself to eat out.

      • After I get to the weight I desire....I need to tone up. That is going to be so much harder for me than just walkin/hikin/watching what I eat

        • Exercise bike time. First time of trying. Thirty minutes for 457 calories. Had set up my DVD player in front of it - now playing, "Jason and the Argonauts". Maxed pulse at about 170 - was aiming for about 140-150 on a steady basis, but then went into my usual 'sod it' mode.

Not doing the hour I was hoping for mostly due to trying knee out on this. Needed more padding that my own excess for that saddle - suspect that will be sore come the morning

May get on it again later.

          Edited to add:

Colleague who hadn't seen me for a while: "What the hell happened to you?"

Me: "Meth. It's a hell of a drug."

          • Ow. Another ten minutes persuaded me that I'm using somewhat different muscles and they currently belong hurty. 150 calories more.

I'll see what I feel like in the morning.

            • That morning after a work out can be nasty, can't it?

3 miles walked during lunch, 4 miles light hiking after work. Don't feel tired

              • Ooooh was fun driving the car today, considering I did chest last night (4 sets of 12 on a 44 pound bar for bench press, and about 32 pounds pectoral flies also 4 by 12).
Could barely lift the coffee cup this morning....

Only after using new muscles, really. My legs aren't too bad, but my bum hurts.

Not sure I should be admitting that, but it's vaguely amusing.

                        • Ok, I know I haven't been posting, but I have been behaving. I swear! I have been working out a minimum of 3 times a week, eating better and have even gotten some of my friends in on it. I haven't noticed much of a physical change, but I do feel stronger and aerobic activity is getting a lot easier.

ETA: Oh, and no I won't give up chocolate. But I eat dark chocolate now, so a couple of small pieces is very satisfying. So I buy a half pound of it at time and stuff it in the freezer. It takes me weeks to eat it.

Might be a food-heavy weekend...I'll try to be good, lol.

And dark chocolate is the BEST!
