  • So I'm an idiot, halfway thru making cards, I decided I didn't like the design, so I started over, 1/3rd of the way thru with the new design, I like much better. Hoping to have the first batch in the mail next week. Haven't got any yet though.

I'm a tad disappointed my Smiley card wasn't upside down
That's just because you weren't special enough to get an upside down card

Okay, in seriousness, the upside down cards were done randomly (my fiance and I just each grabbed a stack of envelopes and a stack of cards and worked through, keeping no rhyme or reason or order)

Hmm ok I just wondered cause when you look at it is says how many received so it looked wrong to me but whatever I'll try it thanks.
It confused me at first last year too...until I realized it's how many of your cards were received by other people.

That's OK. I don't send anything until after Thanksgiving. Hell, I might not even sign anything until after Thanksgiving. (I take Black Friday off of work so I might work on them then.)

              • Got the international cards sent out today. The stamps may be upside down on some, as there was a line behind me and I was trying to hurry. Also, sent the next little batch out today.

Yeah, yeah... but I was still hoping for an upside down card!

That's OK, the year before last I accidentally put US stamps on all the Canada and UK cards, before I realized they were on the top, not the bottom, of the pile.

The woman at the post office was not happy with me.

                        • I have mine stamped, sealed, and ready to go except for the canada and uk ones...just need to take those to the post office since I don't know what they cost....which I will probably do Friday, and just send them all off then. Kinda early but I know I'm not alone.

I tried the canada postal link and it just confused me...I *think* it's a dollar but not sure.

Canada was 75 cents and UK was 98 cents.

I have all my stuff collected in my Christmas card box.

                            • For sending letters in a standard shaped envelope from the US to Canada or the UK, here is the US Post Office's international postage page.

For a 1 ounce letter, the postage to Canada is 75 cents, and to the UK is 98 cents. Using an odd shaped envelope will cost slightly more.

Got my stamps last week. Got my cards now, just gotta write 'em up, re-locate my stamps (yes, I'm a twit), and ship 'em out. Tally Ho!
