I went as a Lego brick to a cousin's 21st. Although I had to kinda half-ass my costume due to lack of time.

my costume? Blue jeans, black shoes and a light blue t-shirt with four "lego" circles drawn on it (to make it look like the top of a lego brick). Unfortunately I didn't do the drawings with the t-shirt on, so two of them were right over my chest.
my son went as a Lego block last year

I am always some sorta cat.....hey, it's the only time of the year a 30-somthing can get away with wearing cat ears.

Might be the Cheshire Cat this year (the new one....already have the ears) but need to be something different at work....people are getting to used to me bein' a cat

That is so cute!!! I don't have any kids to dress up. As for me, I am usually working or busy, plus a lot of my friends don't celebrate it. If they do, they think of it as for the kids and don't dress up. So I probably won't do anything. But for a few years I have been trying to figure out how to be a tornado. It would involve quilt batting, gray paint, and miniature cows somehow.

On an update to my own costume plans, I'm thinking Graverobber would be an easier character to pull off than Repo. All I would need is some face makeup, dreads, a long trenchcoat and a hot glue gun to press against someone's anatomy. (I'd be sure the "Zydrate" was in there, of course.)

If male and you have a small child, how about Master/Blaster from Beyond Thunderdome? May not be a good idea for a work costume, but I doubt most people would have thought of it, and its recognizable. If no child is available, a reasonably sized doll from a toy store would fill the Master role, sans dialogue.

As for you, Cat, may I suggest an Alice costume with shoulder-mounted Cheshire plushy? Breaks the pattern of being the cat while still incorporating one in the costume.

Heh, I actually suggested Master/Blaster to Husband but he vetoed it. something about not being buff enough for S&M gear.

                  that
is not "buff" by any stretch of the imagination
Honestly.... the image of that in my head made me go "AWESOME!"..... and then I remembered I am terribly strange.-Red dazes

Did you know that the actor who played Master was also in the movie Freaks? He had a very long life for a dwarf/midget/little person.

Pyramid head from Silent Hill. All you would need is the headgear and the skirt/pants/whatever it wears. If more ambitious, go for the sword too, out of the old duct tape and pvc construction method.

One I would actually like to see, would be Roger Smith and R. Dorothy from the Big O anime series. Both just wear regular clothing, but it would be fun to see as a costume/cosplay.

Heck, ANY fairly recognizable video game character that wears regular clothing would work. Snow from Final Fantasy XIII, for example: Wool cap, leather gloves, decorated trenchcoat, 5-o-clock shadow.

Boyfriend and I have sorted out our halloween costumes.

He's going as V from V for Vendetta, we're currently in the hunt for a cape and gloves. We're going to raid the toy section of our local $2 shop and see if we can dig up some daggers.

I'm going for the "medieval" look-that is, the costumed one, I'm not being picky about authenticity.

Here's the link for one of the dresses I had in mind (I'm renting):

I think that first one is the prettiest.

I hate to say it, but it seems blasphemous for him to be V and you not to be Evie. But then again she really didn't have a distinct look that would tell anyone who you were, without him standing right next to you as a big hint.

I'd go with the first one out of those, but I am a horrible judge for it, not being a fan of medieval garb.

Depending on your figure/athleticism, Elektra could be interesting. The two of you as a pair of sai-wielding heroes.
