  • Aww what a lovely baby
My eldest is asking for "Just one more baby please!" but we're happy with two.

*hides under blankets* My mother has decided to drag her mother into our argument. So I received a teary phonecall from my favourite grandma, who is quite sick, asking me to make up with my mother. That's just low!

    • Let us know how the interview went, zombie.

I'm thinking it's a *~*magic*~* hot tub, so it doesn't get quilts wet.

I just picked up another t-shirt quilt order yesterday too. She was too good to drop off the shirts at my house after work, so I had to get up before dawn so I could have the car to drive over to her office on her lunch break. *sigh*

Anyway, back to work for me.

        • Health Update...

Not feeling so great right now. Went to the gastroenterologist today... they didn't want to do the Upper GI on me because I needed a "responsible adult" to drive me home. I thought they were going to do the "drink chalky contrast and sit under xrays" upper GI, but instead they wanted me to do the "go under sedation and have a scope shoved down your throat" type.

Luckily, my friend & neighbor John had the day off of work because he was supposed to drive out to his daughter's college to pick her up for the holidays... he called her and pushed that back so he could be my driver. Not so much fun... all sorts of machines hooked up to me (heart monitor, oxygen monitor, blood pressure cuff, iv and oxygen) and I woke up with a sore throat and fuzzy head.

While they were poking around in there, they attached a Bravo Capsule to the wall of my esophagus to register pH levels. It sends a radio signal to a receiver that I have to keep within 3 feet of myself for the next 48 hours. If I move away from it, it starts beeping. I'm sure I'll forget it at some point tonight if I have to wake up to use the restroom. :P

Other than that... ultrasound on my abdomen/gall bladder scheduled for next Thursday, and a follow up with the specialist on January 7th. Oh, and I'm on new expensive medication that my insurance might not cover.... fun!

          • How do they set up an appointment like that and not tell the patient that they will need someone to drive them home?

            • Today..is one of those days. One of those days where I want to drop off the face of the earth, find some rock to hide under, and not surface until .. I have no clue when.

Right now I am glad this little fort is here, so I can just hide here for a bit.

                • Me three! I haven't slept much in the last three days so I am running on fumes energy wise. Then when I got to work this morning, I found out that my manager's brother lost everything in a house fire this morning.

                  • And right now I'm just sore, tired and the snow from earlier is melting. I've run so much the last 3 days I could sleep for a week.

And on top of being tired, I've got to go to the Litter Box tomorrow to make out and send the HBA order for Tuesday's truck, get my schedule for the rest of the week and then strike out for Blue Light to get that blasted Christmas pig assembled.

Why did I let my mother talk me into getting that thing? Oh yeah, it's pink and it's a pig. And it's dressed in a Santa hat and coat and lights up. Just what we need for our front porch display (Yes, our neighbors know how Mom is, bless her heart.)

Just ugh. And I have no energy to get my Christmas tree set up in my bedroom yet. I guess that's on tomorrow's list too . . .

                    • Bah I need blanket fort magic today

Woke up with my thumb so subluxed (if that's even a word) it was horrible. Got it sorted out ok, but I have lots & lots of cleaning & ironing to do before I go away on Tues & I'm going to have to wear a solid splint over my hand "just in case" now.

*grumps away muttering for a cup of tea*
                      Arp happens!

Just when I was getting used to yesterday, along came today.

                        • I'm gonna go cry in the corner for a bit.

Tired and worn out, chasing children all day, wrangling quilts and trying to get online customers to understand the fact that custom made things take time to make and ship and I'm not paying $100s of dollers to overnight something to you unless you're paying the shipping fees....also I'm fully booked already with christmas deadline orders.

Also I have a show tomorrow night. It's an art show and I'm nervous. I only have a half hour to get set-up and by myself it takes at least 2 hours. I can't ask the fam for help unless I want to be verbally abused for the whole show.

Also stupid christmas is coming up and I told my mother about the "donations in family members name" instead of buying gifts because no one in my family really *needs* anything and will only complain about what I buy anyway. Edit: And she flipped out on me about it's rude or something, so now I have to find something to buy for the ungrateful louts.

Anyone want to adopt an almost 29 year old quilter and hubby/kidlets into thier family?

                          • Kanalah, I would love to. Just teach me how to quilt

And can we cry on each other's shoulders? Today has sucked. Found out they want to do a knee replacement on my Dad but they won't do it until he drops a lot of weight. whole family needs to lose weight. Plus work is just getting worse by the day.

Also there is a gnome on my head stabbing me with an ice pick.

                            *Curls up under a blanket*

If you guys promise to play nice with my lizard, then sure.

So, my left wrist isn't broken (hooray!) but it's tendon damage so yeah...major suck. Right wrist is permanently damaged. but I'll manage. And the lady I was trying to make a deal with for her dragon...still wants wires in it.
So...long story short, I tried to bend wires for the dragon's body and now my wrists hurt and my right hand keeps cramping up.
But...hubby and I made peppermint hard candy today! And my nice auntie just gave me like 15 books so I can do something fun that's not on the computer or wrist-hurting.
Oh wook at teh widdle babeh dwaggin! How cyuuute babeh dwag-AAAAAAAUUUGGGHHHH! *nom*

                              • I'd be happy to be a quiltmentor!

I think we'd get along alright with the lizard, kidlets know not to touch things. Especially alive things and sewing things.

Stella the cat on the other hand....we'll have to get a cat-sitter I think, but we could still visit.
