I'm in the middle of four books right now:
    • The Cat Who Went Bananas - I read that when I'm at Lizziebeff's.
    • An Echo in the Bone (Book 7 in the Outlander series. I have to hurry up and read it so I can give it to Lizziebeff before it's returned to Mommy.)
    • The Woman's War in the South - Lizziebeff got it as a whim...it's not bad, but I can only tolerate one or two chapters at a time.
    • Joining - a romance by Johanna Lindsey...for my lighter reading moments.

Currently I'm 3/4 of the way through The Vampire Lestat. I'm not enjoying it nearly as much as Interview/

Do not read the last book in The Cat Who series. Heck, the second to last one too. I made the mistake of reading them. It felt like the author just gave up writing on those two.

            I've heard that.

As a matter of fact, I'm not sure if my mom or sister have them...and it seems as though the author gave up many years ago. It's always someone from out of town who's the murderer. At least for a few books, it was a local.

              Next up on the list:

The Monster Blood Tattoo series, by D.M. Cornish.

I read the first one and I was blown away. Amazing series and the author lives in Adelaide as well. There's even talk of a film being produced. If you ever get a chance, these are books worth checking out.

I am also planning on checking out "I Am Number Four" (ever since I saw the trailer for the film I was hooked) as well.

I love Bujold! The Hallowed Hunt is my favorite. A lot of her books are available on audible.com, too.

Right now I am reading The hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy. Then I think I will reread Anne McCaffery's Pern books.

..... but I'm leaning toward The Enchantment Emporium by Tanya Huff -- her stuff is always worth the read (for those who love vampires, you must read her Blood series, and the sci-fi fans need to check out the Valor series, kick ass female leads in both).
Huff's "enchantment emporium" is brilliant! I keep waiting for her to write a sequel to it.

I loved the Blood series too. And the spinoff books about the Tony character (I think it was the Smoke series)

Im currently reading The Radioactive Redhead by John Zakour & Lawrence Ganem. Basically it's 1940's style detective story set in sci-fi future earth.

I'm also re-reading the Betsy Taylor vampire series by Mary Janice Davidson and I just finished re-reading Feist's Riftwar Saga (Magician, Silverthorn & Darkness at Sethanon) which I do every year

Just started to reread The Lord of the Rings.
I have actually never read it myself, my dad read it to me when I was a kid.

The next book I'll be reading once I'm done with the ones I'm reading now (I won't list them this time, but just know that they're not the ones I listed earlier) is "Teenage Wasteland: Suburbia's Dead End Kids" by Donna Gaines.

I've just finished Caleb Carr's "The Alienist" and I'm just starting Umberto Eco's "Foucault's Pendulum".

I read them both before but we're cleaning out bookshelves and I want to know if I'll enjoy those books as much as I did when I first read them over 20 years ago.
