What is your favorite scene? (Would you like me to repeat the question?)
    32 minutes to die

My favorite scene so far, and my favorite line "you will not die now, you will die in 32 minutes"
If you wish to find meaning, listen to the music not the song

Tick tock, goes the clock. / For every reason, a rhyme. / Tick tock, goes the clock. / The Doctor's out of time.

Tick tock, went the clock / But now all time is broken / Doctor's end has come / With all those words unspoken.

              • It was awesome. And wierd. And awesome. And funny. And cool. And sad, very sad. It explained everything pretty well, without being rushed. And the outcome was predictable. Lots of refences to previous stories this season. And did I mention it was awesome.

                Spoilers:
The sad: The Brigadier has died.

                The Cool: "Pond, Amy Pond"

Funny: "What's his first name? " "Captain."

                The resolution: Shape-shifting robot.

                • Thank you for not posting the spoilers of the newest episode unhidden. Because at first I didn't know what you were talking about, until I realized they were spoilers, and luckily realized that before I highlighted them. As that episode has not aired here yet, and I won't be watching it until much later via my DVR (I'll be off watching my college football team play at a bar here in a bit) I appreciate your consideration of those of us who haven't seen it yet.

Also, I've been pretty public about saying that I would strangle anyone who spoiled the Who episodes before those of us in American even had a chance to see it.

                  • Ooooohhh....now it all makes sense. Though I don't know that I would call it predictable. Definitely didn't go the way I would have predicted. Credit to them for how they resolved it.

And no further words from me, as there may yet be people here who haven't seen it yet.

                    • Now everything makes sense. I don't think I could explain it to someone else, but it makes sense.

I was not expecting the (spoiler!)shape-shifting robot solution, although it was very cool.

Agreed. For me, this ep was far from predictable. Mostly, though, because I completely forgot about the shape-shifting robot with the tiny people inside (Spoilers!). The only thing I did know was 'C'mon. They're not actually going to let The Doctor *die*.'

Also, the question. Never before have I heard something that was both so facepalm-worthy and so fracking brilliant at the same time.

                        • The episode wasn't predictable, at all. The ultimate solution to the Doctor's shooting was.

                          Spoilers hidden.

I have to admit, I was expecting a ganger before the episode. But when the previously bit came on, I guessed the robot.

I loved that River had a solution, sort of.

                          Sort of spoilers follow.

There were a couple of things that didn't quite ring true.

The regeneration effect? Given the solution, how did that happen.

Why did the silence go to the trouble of kidnapping the baby, then raising a killer, if they were going to use an automated suit?

                          • Well, to the first:

Any time lord can release regeneration energy at will - presumably, they didn't usually do so because it would limit the number of regenerations they got, but if you can trigger a regeneration at will (and they can) releasing it at will makes sense. Also, see River's cure of the Doctor.

                            And then to the second:

Back up plan. In case they lost her, in case they lost control of her (which they did).

                              My theory spoilered:

The Tessalecta can change shapes and even reproduce a motorcycle, has a miniaturization ray, and who knows what else. I think the regeneration effect was well within its capabilities, especially since it wasn't going to be a proper regeneration, just a special effect.

I think the suit was a back-up plan after the grown-up baby failed to kill the Doctor the first time, and then used up her regenerations to save his life.

                              • Hubby says he knows what the answer to The Question is...I am still clueless, but what else is new.

Loved the episode...I've been waiting a while for some of it to happen And even though the hubby says he knows part of the rest, he didn't actually guess the whole episode before watching it (or while watching it) which is rare for him. No more Doctor till Christmas
