Count me among those who were sad when they found out that brontosaurus was being renamed. Though I'll admit brachiosaurs are my favorite.

I'm sure Oldest is going to be just heartbroken about another trip to the museum. This time, though, I'm going to avoid the bloodsucking insect exhibit (their current temporary exhibit on the main floor).

Li'l Bro was the dino expert when we were little. I was no slouch myself, but he was schooling the PTA ladies when he was three.

One time last year, we were watching Bones (I think) and they were doing an autopsy. My older boy cried out, "Ewwww!" And my then 7-year old daughter put her hands on her hips, gave him a condescending look, and said, "Tch, it's just a TOY body. It's not real."

But the boys will stick with dinos. And cars, and construction vehicles, and trains, and police cars, and fire trucks.

She's not that far off the mark. They use a combination of cadavers and models IIRC.

As for the boy thing, last I checked, one of my 2-year-old cousins LOVES Bob The Builder.

My other cousin just moved from Thomas the Tank Engine to The Wiggles. Quite cute
