Is Princess literate enough to make cookies in the shape of each family member's initials? I've found that kids love eating cookies/pancakes/whatever in the shape of their initial.

Seshat's self-help guide:
1. Would you rather be right, or get the result you want?
2. If you're consistently getting results you don't want, change what you do.
3. Deal with the situation you have now, however it occurred.
4. Accept the consequences of your decisions.

Hmm, I think so. She knows, sort of, how to write her own name. Even if not though, I bet she'd have fun with a lump of sugar cookie dough that she could shape into whatever she wanted to. And I've got some cool cookie cutters that I'd love to try out. Ninjas! Gingerdead men!
Could even make icing and have them decorate their cookies after they're baked. Then, of course, there's all the required sampling of the cookies as they're made. Quality control checks, donchaknow? You're only delaying the inevitable, you run at your own expense. The repo man gets paid to chase you. ~Argabarga

Draw their initials onto a piece of safe-cooking-paper and give them each a chunk of dough to make 'their' special initial cookie with. Gives them a guide to work with.Seshat's self-help guide:

My mom had me making frosted sugar cookies with her when I was 18 months old, and I started my son about the same age. He's almost 5 now and can do considerably more than he could back then, but he's always loved cutting out the shapes (we have Ninjabread Men too!).
If you let them ice, make extra icing because they will LOAD it on. And get sprinkles, little decorative candies, all that crap is my son's favorite part.

I just saw this story on my cousin E's Facebook page and had to share:
There was a little girl and her family at the ice cream stand E's family own and runs. The little girl was telling E about her baby sister, who was being rather hyper, and came out with this gem: "Sometimes we think she was born with rabies."

Khan was making up a story about how some Pokemon hooked up with the Pigeon (from the Mo Willems' books) and stole a bus.
Me: "Pikachu was mad at them because what they were doing was wrong."
Khan: 'Pikachu needs to chill out."

We were in the car and waiting for hubby to finish an errand. I'm pointing to parts of my face and Toby is saying the parts. I decide to get a bit tricky and point to Kaleb's (youngest son) nose . Toby replys "Kaleb"
During the same session I'm holding up finger and Toby is saying the number. I'm only working on one hand, so I go to two hands. I hold up six fingers (one hand and one finger on the other hand). Toby goes "five" pointing to my hand and points to the other hand and says "one".

Little cute one from this morning. I'm on the tram line heading south and this mum and a little girl get on the train. The girl is repeating "tam" (she'd be around 2) over and over so her mum then asks her "what sound does the tram make?"
She responds with "ding." (The sound is when someone pushes the button to request a stop)The best professors are mad scientists! -Zoom

New one from today.
One of the kindergarteners asked me how to spell my name....I thought "oh, how cute!" only for her to then proceed to colour over it because she wanted to give it to her mum and dad

Long day at the RenFaire. Too hot to wear my costume but it was fun. My son confounded the magician; he did the thing where he mixes up three cards and asks an audience member to find the Queen. He said, "Left or right?" and my son said, "The middle!" which was correct.
He asked later why the magician was surprised. I thougt about telling him about misdirection and influence (by only giving two choices, he was trying to influence how the audience answered) but I finally said, "You weren't thinking the way he wanted you to think. And really, that's a very, very good thing."

My friend's kid loved Shrek. But she couldn't say it right, it sounded like 'cock'. So when she wanted to watch the movie she would yell, "I want cock!"

Pretty lousy magician if there are three cards and he only offered two choices. A child could see through that. Heck, a child DID see through that! The only other option I can think of is that the magician was playing dumb in order to take the routine even higher.
