I don't have a computer desk. I generally use my laptop whilst sitting on the couch. So the closest thing to a "desk" is the end-table next to the couch. That currently has a lamp, coasters, my beverage (a glass of iced tea sweetened with stevia), and my empty plate from dinner on it.

Currently on my computer desk:
Keyboard
Trackball Mouse on the left
Monitor sitting on top of a book (to raise it to a more comfortable viewing height for me)
WoW authenticator attached to the base of the monitor with a silver box chain (so the cats don't steal it, or don't get far with it if they do try to steal it)
Tube of Carmex
Extra bolts and wingnuts from a pet carrier (can't believe the cats haven't knocked those off by now)
Assorted scraps of paper and paperclips under the keyboard
Usually on my desk but not currently present:
Coffee cup
Water bottle
One or two cats (depending on what, if any, food I have at the time)
Bowl of softened cat food (though this one is probably going away soon, as the little kittle is happily on dry food now)
Scrap of cloth that serves as a cat toy (carried off by a kittle... I wonder where she put it this time?)
Cat brush (see above)You're only delaying the inevitable, you run at your own expense. The repo man gets paid to chase you. ~Argabarga

And take that breath under the dark sky full of stars. Breathe in. Breathe out. That's all."

Hooo boy.
Two different task lights.
Penicillin. Plush form, the only type I'm allowed.
Many, many medications. The take-as-needed ones are stuck in a box, except for the mylanta (a liquid med).
The others are in an organiser provided by my pharmacist, laid out in day and time. (If I ever need to go to a hospital, I can just grab that.)
Two small organisers, containing
- sewing gear for hand-sewing
- pet toothpaste
- nail grooming equipment
- spare hair ties
- scrap paper
- dental floss
- an eyepatch for when my bad eye hurts
- lip balm
- probably other stuff.
Two more organisers, these ones little buckets, containing things best stored vertically
- pens and pencils
- a letter opener made of ebony, carved with a woman's head. Very pretty.
- scissors
- a crochet hook
- pet hairbrushes
- a tin whistle.
One organiser that contains just my headphones, with their extension cord. Oh, and sometimes it has old Palm Pilot stylii, which I use as hair sticks.
My mobile phone, charging.
Glasses case for my reading/computing glasses. Glasses case containing my other glasses.
Pencil case with my drawing pencils (and a sketchbook in reach of me off to my right).
Spill-resistant cup of cola.
A hackysack I use as a stress ball.Seshat's self-help guide:

Fun thread.
On my home computer desk (with hutch shelves) I have -
Keyboard, mouse, wrist-rest pad

Tablet for jotting down stray thoughts to not keep, LOL
modem, back up drive, USB hub & a router that I have to periodically unplug & replug because of a conflict between laptop & desktop that I still haven't managed to solve
pretty flowered box of assorted flash drives & passport backup drives (from 4GB to a TB, one has photos, another has backups, another has files for craft machines, etc, etc)
tissues, hand lotion, sticky notes in a holder, and a tray of assorted desk supplies
a small drawer from a CD chest with computer disks in it
a shelf of hardware & software manuals, plus assorted notebooks of my own notes
a "have you hugged your computer today" mug of coloured sharpies
a "computasaurus" mug (so old the printer in the pic has paper that is lined, connected sheets with side holes) of pens & pencils
along the base of my computer are assorted small plastic figures - Marvin, K-9, Shaun the Sheep, and Merriweather, plus a rock with native American spirit animal, plus a couple of computer related pins
assorted bills, receipts, business cards, address book and so forth
a vintage huge money clip being used to hold assorted small papers so the cat doesn't run off with them
a paperweight that's a replica of a green man roof boss at Norwich Cathedral
a cuddly toy meerkat
a ruler, as wide as older computer paper, with a strip in the center to magnify a line of print, and guaged in inches on one side, and the standard hight of print on old computer print-outs on the other, and I think my old flow-chart template is stuck in a book somewhere around here too
oh, and a miniature gargoyle on top of my monitor
Madness takes it's toll....
Please have exact change ready.
