1 mile. I when I was hired, I was looking for a job within walking distence because I was sharing a car. I usually don't walk.
I have PMS and a black belt. Any questions?

I think mine's about 8 KM. Takes me 10 minutes most days, 5 if the roads are empty. (Droppith ye olde hammer.)

I live about 15-17 miles away from work, but I leave thirty minutes early. I don't know why.

I am 26 miles from work. My commute takes me an hour and a half in the morning and 2 hours in the afternoon. I walk about 1/4 mi to the train, take the train from home to city, change from commuter train to subway train, go 3 stops then walk 5 more blocks to work. Going home is the same drill in reverse with about 3x as many people. According to mapquest the drive should only take me half an hour, however, it has been my experience that it is NEVER less than 45 mins due to traffic. Even at 3am. Besides that, if I wanted to park anywhere near work it is between $28-$32 A DAY!! No thanks, I'll gladly take my $210 flat rate for the whole month on the trains.
The only words you said that I understood were "His", "Phone" and "Ya'll". The other 2 paragraphs worth was about as intelligible as a drunken Teletubby barkin' come on's at a Hooter's waitress.

I live 3.5-4km from my work, I walk there most days. Unless it is really stormy, then I cab it.

43 miles, or about an hour going in at 6 am, an hour and a half coming home at 4 pm, longer if there is a wreck, which happens frequently. I drive myself, as nobody else wants to get there so early. But getting there early lets me have access to the copy machines and other necessary equipment without having to wait in line.

I don't know the mileage but it's about 10-15 minutes from my house to the employee parking lot, then about 10-15 minutes waiting for the employee shuttle bus to fill up and drive us over to the ballpark. So on a fast day, 20 minutes, on a slow day 30 minutes.

Odometer on my car says it's 13 miles from my apartment to the factory parking lot.

At night, I can leave at nearly 10:20 and get there at 10:35 because of the roads being quite deserted at night. The hardest part is manuvering around all the semi trucks "holding hands" (aka, driving side by side, one in each lane). They seem to be the only other traffic out and about at night. The night drive to work is rather easy.

Mornings are a different story. I've left my parent's house (2 miles from the factory) and it's taken me nearly 30-45 minutes to drive home because of the suicidal drivers who are late to their 8:00 am jobs and other whackjob morning drivers. Since the highway and the strip are clogged in the mornings, every morning I encounter Sunday drivers. And more semi trucks, dump trucks, tractors, caterpillars, and other vehicles that are too big and too slow and really clog up the roads. I absolutely hate my morning drive home.

I just want to go home in the morning. Driving should not be about trying to get around everyone going 10 mph UNDER the speed limit.

Takes me about 2 minutes to get to work, as it's only an elevator ride away.

My old job took me about 10-15 minutes to get to as it was about 7 blocks away, and I'd usually walk it. Unless the weather was miserable, and then I'd take the bus. And it would take me 10-15 minutes to get there. Don't ask me why I bothered...

I work almost precisely 4 miles from my office by car.

Taking the bus, it includes over a mile of walking, and about a total of 45 mintues door to door.

My boyfriend, Nekojin (who actually has a directly customer service job), is almost the same, but in a totally different direction, and less walking.

According to mapquest, I live 3.44 miles or 5.5 km's from work.
                                It's an 8-12 minute drive through lot's of 30 and 40Km zones.
If the speed limit were 50km (like it should be) it would be a 5 minute drive.
