When I was their age, I was lucky to get a $1 a week
And when you were their age you could have probably bought packs of 15 baseball cards for only 50 cents to maybe $1, topps (padon the pun).

But seriously, you do have to take inflation into consideration, especially in the last couple months or so.

By criminie! I also had to walk up hill both ways to school in 30 feet of snow from September to at least May every year! These yunguns don't know the half of what I had to go through to get a decent education and go some place for fun! *waves her walking cane around, thwaps herself in the head* And ... heh, I can't remember what else I was going to say.

We got 3 boxes of Yu Gi Oh! Gold Series cards. I'm not sure how many came in a pack/box/container, but it was $24.99 and we had the condition that it was one per customer.

The new World of Warcraft booster now have 19 cards per pack, but they didn't raise the price ($3.49/pack) - we've had a few customers buy an entire box (30 packs for $100.55 - that's with tax included). *le sigh* What I make at the gaming store is for stuff I want to buy, to treat myself to pizza and/or buy Kelly something cute. The discount I get in the store - that's for hubs.

        - snip slivers vs. life deck -
I can't play M:tG against Hubby without us randomly choosing decks we've built out of a pile. No matter how hard I try on a deck, he out-builds me all the time. At least the random pick makes it fair.

However, I don't think it's just me being a bad deck-builder. We went to the Kamigawa tournament when it first came out, and I built myself a black-blue deck from my tourney pack and 3 boosters. Opponent tree came up and Hubs and I were randomly pitted against each other for the first match. He wipes the floor with me.

I then go on to beat my next three opponents before losing to a red direct-damage deck. Hubs lost his next three before winning his last. I won some free booster packs. Yay!

I usually play black-blue or attempt to improve my angel deck. ::geek::

We also play Munchkin (regular and Bites, though friends have Blender, Fu, Star, and I think one other but I can't remember which), D&D, World of Darkness, and a few others.

Well, D&D 4.0 comes out in June along with the D&D World Wide Game Day. Hubs, I think, is running it at the Gaming Store. He's just so cute when he DMs.

Haven't heard of any more problems with the Yu Gi Oh! card players since the original fight. That is good.
