It is almost always in collections of her poetry - it was originally published in the New Yorker. But seriously, drop whatever it is you are doing and get to the library and check out her poetry and short stories. I don't think you'll regret it. I lurves me some Dorthy Parker. She could never be mistaken for dumb.

Wonderful, thank you so much! I'm always on the prowl for good things to read, particularly with such a great recommendation.Quoth auntiem View PostIt is almost always in collections of her poetry - it was originally published in the New Yorker. "You are the dumbest smart person I have ever met in my life!" Will Smith, 'I, Robot'.
"You LOSE! Good day, sir!" Gene Wilder, 'Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory'.

Ah, yes, Dorothy Parker, the cure for malaise caused by being forced to endure society-influenced stupidity. Even her serious quotes are awesome.
Razors pain you
Rivers are damp
Acids stain you
And drugs cause cramp.
Guns aren’t lawful
Nooses give
Gas smells awful
You might as well live.
Because as we all know, on the Internet all men are men, all women are men and all children are FBI agents.

That's something that seriously gets my goat. In Beauty and the Geek, season 3, there was one girl who was (acted?) dense, and did NOT want to actually learn anything. All the other beauties were at least willing to learn something, and went in with open minds. But Cecile made me want to reach through the screen and strangle her with her plantinum blonde extensions and ram her pink lipgloss into her ear....*sigh*The report button - not just for decoration
