Call me a weirdo, but I love fountain drinks.

I hate bottles and cans of dark soda pop. Yuck. Mountain Dew, though, is best in a can. Any restaurant I go to that actually has Mountain Dew, it tastes gross.

Although I much prefer a good glass of Dr. McGuillicudy, Cranberry juice and half and half. Cherry cheesecakes all around!

Businesses get discounts on their product if they promise not to sell or promote the competition. At least that's how it was for cosmetics.

I haven't seen a Vanilla Coke in years, but I loved it so.

I think why I don't really like pepsi is because I mainly only get it in restaurants (can never find one that actually has coke) and it's always watered down.
Wow, I guess those exclusive contracts benefit everyone involved. Except the consumer.

does a preference for soda matter THIS much??
I believe the majority of this thread shows that to some people, it does.

You have to admit something here. Pepsi just doesn't go with certain drinks, if you are eating at a restaurant that serves alcoholic beverages. For example, who ever heard of a rum and Pepsi? Most of us, including me, drink rum and Coke. Or, how about Jack and Pepsi? Nope. Again, I and others drink Jack and Coke, or Jim Beam and Coke, depending on what you're in the mood for.

I think your customer was a little ditzy though. Took more than once to convince her that you had no Coca Cola.

I don't care which is paired with my rum as long as I have rum in my drink!

If I don't want soda or water (most of the time, the water is from the tap & some of the restaurants near my house has funny tasting tap water), I get either Sweet Tea (no non-sweet for me) or coffee or hot chocolate (Bob Evans restaurants has free refills on their hot chocolate ).

But if all else fails, a nice Chocotini, or a Long Island Iced Tea, or a Rum & whatever soda product they have, an Amaretto Sour, or whatever else alcoholic drink they have that I want. (Why yes, I do like mixed drinks, why do you ask? ).

Mountain Dew since no-one carries Mello Yellow anymore
              Mello Yello!!!!

I'm in little old NZ and they recently brought back Mello Yello. Some places (like where I work ) have stopped carrying it but most grocery stores still do. I don't remember when it first came out, we were living in small town Aussie at the time but now I buy it whenever I can.

I like both coke and pepsi, at the moment my drink of choice is coke zero because i'm on a diet, i'm supposed to drink a heap of water but i'm not much of a water drinker, i'll drink water after going to the gym and at work because it's the only thing we're allowed to have.

Hmm, must have been flat. (flat Dr Pepper, I will admit, is nasty stuff.)

About an hour ago I became a convert to this Italian stuff whose name I can't remember which is basically a shot of espresso and 2 teaspoons of sugar mixed with mineral water.
Oh kind gods. It wasn't, perchance, called "bitter aperitif", was it? It's from Italy. I had it once, and I nearly died. Thankfully there was a lot of root beer near by to wash the taste away. When my sister took her trip to Italy we tried to convince her to buy some and give it to all her friends just to see the looks on their faces when they actually drank it.

I'll add my name to the list of 'Coke is Evil!' people. It's too bitter, and it gives me hiccups, which I never get from Pepsi. Also, Pepsi Max doesn't taste as artificial as Diet Coke. My beverage of choice, however, is Dr Pepper. In a can, not a bottle.

Interesting factoid: If ever you go to Germany, remember to ask for cola. Coke is the happy fun stuff that goes up your nose. Although the cola they served at all the venues for WGT is VitaCola, which is the seed of Satan himself, so maybe just drink the beer instead.

                              I'm sorry, I'm not authorised to give a f**k.
