  • I loved this lady.....

....... she was a seriously awesome person.

So it was late at night at work and I was really tired. And my ankle was killing me (see this thread http://www.customerssuck.com/board/s...ad.php?t=26016 )

This awesome lady, hereafter referred to as AL came up to my register and I started to ring up her groceries. A few seconds later, a bagger came up to help with her large order. This bagger, a really good friend of mine, asks me how my ankle is. I tell him that it really hurts. AL then asks what's wrong with my ankle. I tell her. She then tells me about this cream that she used for her leg pains that I might want to try. I thank her and write it down because I'm willing to try almost anything now to ease the pain. I finish her order and the bagger takes out her groceries.

A few minutes later, I feel a tap on my shoulder. I turn around. It's AL. She hands me a tube of the pain reliever we discussed earlier and tells me that she didn't want me walking all the way over to medicine section of the store because it would hurt my ankle even more. Apparently, the bagger took her groceries out to her car with her, then she came back into the store and went and got the tube for me.

I swore I had this look on my face. I barely managed a "thank you" because I was just so freakin surprised that a customer could actually, well, care about a person who worked in a store. She replied with "Oh, no problem, dear. Hope it works!" and left.

AL, wherever you are, thank you. That cream did actually help somewhat.

These awesome customers, no matter how few there are of them, almost make our jobs bearable.

its always nice when a customer cares about you,

i get alot of comments about my limp and people wondering about the pain im in. not that they could do anything about it. it is an on going problem that probably will never get better.

i havent heard of that stuff.

i have alot of pain in my hip i dont know if a cream would help but i would be willing to give it a try.
