Crazy woman in charity shop wants to buy cashier's scarf: https://notalwaysright.com/leaving-o...l-scarfs/49988

I used to work in a charity shop, and it's amazing how many crazy, stupid and downright rude people there were there. Of course, cuz I was the only person working there at the time (the manager's entire staff left at the same time for paid work) I didn't have to take any shit from SCs.

    And yet another:

    https://notalwaysright.com/charged-up-on-idiocy/49642

Customer finds their "stolen" item but still want the receptionist fired for "being rude"!

I hope OP's boss told this idiot they are perma-banned!

Another story that really angered me:

    https://notalwaysright.com/something...omplaint/60552

Employee gets suspended and almost fired for a customer complaint that turns out to be a "joke"!

Browsing through old NAR stories and ran across this tale of a bigoted customer. I realize this is a stereotype (but that's probably the only thing the customer would understand), but this incident would have been MUCH improved if there had been a Native co-worker in the back. Imagine the customer's face on being told (using deliberately stereotyped syntax) "Paleface go back where come from. Land belongum us."

I understand that breakups are hard, but if you really can't keep yourself from crying while at work several days later, you should probably have taken the day off.

    No Punctuation Story.

Did the person posting this skip school the day they taught punctuation? It was painful to read.
Ironic (or maybe not) that it's in Not Always Learning.

That's from their Unfiltered section. No editing done to the post at all. I barely ever look at the Unfiltered stuff, for reasons like this.

I would have just let the missus go ahead and call the cops. There isn't much they can do as the lot is likely private property and the boss had tried to warn the missus. And I sure as heck wouldn't have expected my employee to go down and let the woman out. Besides, it's the norm when dealing with parking lots that get secured at night - if you're dumb enough to park then your car is stuck there until they open for business the next day. I've had it happen to me a grand total of once because I was a dumbass and not paying attention to the time the lot closed. However, I chalked it up to being a dumbass and simply slept in my car rather than deal with an early morning rush-hour bus ride to come back to pick it up. But I'm not a complete fuckwit either.

    Locked In To The Task

That boss should have called a tow truck as soon as that woman walked away.
Agreed, locking her in just caused a lot of trouble that could have been avoided. Not to mention pissing off your employee!
