So, we made Adipose (using marshmallows and frosting) Blue cupcakes with star pretzels, (lady) Fingers and "custard", as well as having the Jelly Babies and Jammie Dodgers. We'll be sugared out by the end of the show.

I'm so excited. I purposefully left the last episode of season 7 for last night, Im glad I did.

I have now changed the channel to avoid seeing the special because DaDairyDruid is working until mid afternoon. Thank goodness for DVRs.
      Random conversation:
Me: Okay..so I think I get why Zoro wears a bandana
      DDD: Cuz it's cool

So, by using the Doctor's reasoning, bow ties, fezzes and bandanas are cool.

I am both satisfied and disappointed. I would have preferred more time war focus and less third party aliens but overall there was some very good stuff here and the appearances at the end really help make up for my disappointment. I understand eccelston didn't want to come back but we could have had other cameos from more past doctors I think.

I liked it. I thought it would be slightly different but I am not
Disappointed with how it ended up.

                Keeping it spoiler free:

I thoroughly enjoyed that. It was entirely different than I was expecting.

Hurt was good. Multiple Doctors was good. The returning monsters were a surprise.

                And him.

It was the usual fast paced, zingy, noisy, effect filled modern Who. With plenty of great lines, ineterplay between Doctors, scares, thrills and laughs.

I didn't not like it. Just not what I was expecting. Which is a good thing... b/c I'm a very boring person. Lol. But I did like it, the ending especially. I Loved John Hurt's character. And of course... the curator <3

                    Ah, fair enough then.

And the War Doctor may be my new favourite Doctor. Anyone with that much sass deserves to be awesome!

I really enjoyed it. Tennant, Smith, and Hurt all played off of each other fabulously and were a lot of fun to watch. I won't go into detail about everything I liked since it seems quite a few people haven't seen it yet.

I think I'll always have a soft spot for Eccleston though, I love it when his face pops up in screens/flashbacks of Ten and Eleven's series', he was my first Doctor. Also I second the suggestions to start with the reboot with the Ninth and onward. I only started watching a few months ago and that's how I got into it, it's been a love affair ever since. Slowly making my way through the older series a bit at a time. I'll admit to having a really hard time trying to see past the backyard-esque special effects of the classic shows. But I am watching them, mark my word.

So, I wasn't able to get tickets to the movie theater special. It had sold out all screenings, and I wasn't going to wait until Monday to try again. So, I intended to catch it on BBC America, but wait until the replay later in the evening.

Problem was, BBC America's website stated the replay would be at 8PM. So, I get home after being out today, get dinner, eat dinner, and turn on BBC America at 7:55... to find the episode in mid-progress. The special had started at 7PM, not 8.

So I had to wait until 11PM to see it.

It was worth the wait. I quite thoroughly enjoyed it.

Loved An Adventure in Space and Time (why isn't it being put on DVD yet in combo with the Day of the Doctor? I mean, really.) And then the Day of the Doctor? HOLY SHIT.

David Tennant is currently starring in the RSC's production of Richard II. He's had hair extensions woven in to play the main character with long hair. It'll take too long to take them out and put them back in again every time he makes an appearance somewhere, so he's living with long hair for now. That's why his hair looked so awkward in that interview show; it was braided in the back.

Though I do think he should've shaved before going on the show. David, you've got a lovely face; don't hide it behind scruffy stubble!

Watched it with my older daughter (family of Whovians here) and planning to introduce the little one soon - boxed set of 9th, 10th doctor dvds on its way for christmas.

The main issue with the show is does that now make Tennant officially the 11th and Smith the 12th doctors? If so then that'll muck up a lot of posters/t-shirts around.

Lots of laughs, lots of serious, quite a bit of sad and, all in all, a wonderful show.

The line in the show that had my daughter in tears was Tennant's last line in the show. Whited below:
                                "...I don't want to go."
