I need prayers for my brother

They switched him to something that will attack just the infection, they also took out 3 lines and put in 1. The resperatory specialist said he still needs the tube in and he's going to be monitored, so maybe in the next couple of days it'll come out. He's gesturing and making faces and shaking his head yes and no to comunicate with us, dad bought him a dry erase board so that's another plus. Staying positive!

If I get any sleep tonight it would be amazing, my brother told us that he saw our grandfather in a dream. About 30 something minutes after that he asked for his phone, I went down to the chapel. Someone else came in when I was writing in the book and when I was getting my feelings out he told me some stuff, I know he meant well but what the fuck watch what you say. I went back up to Michaels room shaking, hyperventilating, feeling cold from the inside out, and like I would throw up. You guys, please help me, It hard to keep it together. I'm really hoping there's going to be good news coming but I'm freaked out and scared.

Don't let that stuff get to you. Your grandfather may have been protecting your brother. When my dad was in recovery after his bypass my mom said she felt my dad's mom there, watching over him (my mom was very sensitive to stuff like that).

As for the guy in the chapel, yeah, some people are awkward and say the wrong thing at times like that, don't take it to heart. You're under some stress now, I know, but try to stay calm, think positive, think strong.

He had his breathing tube and feeding tube removed , the nurse asked him to try to talk but his voice sounded harsh. We couldn't get what he was saying so we asked him to say it again, he said: "I'm Batman." he made the nurse laugh. He's eating applesauce and drinking apple juice now, he says he wants to watch the football game tomorrow so everything turned out ok. Once again positive.

The harsh voice after a feeding or breathing tube isn't unexpected. I know I sounded like crap right after surgery, and I didn't have it in for that long. At least it's out and he has his sense of humor. Glad to hear he's doing better.

He's talking a lot more and eating a little bit more today, he tried sitting up on his own a couple of times today but needed some help and he sat in a chair for about 30 or so minutes. He did some muscle exercises and fed himself too, mom and dad are going to tell him about his surgery tomorrow so he can get some sleep tonight. Staying positive.

They took the "pee tube" out and he started to go on his own, he's eating a lot more today too but he has to pace himself because we don't want too much too soon and make himself sick. Mom and dad are going to tell him about his surgery today, from the way the doctors were talking about his heart valve it's a replacement surgery. They said it was along the lines of other artifical body part replacement surgeries like knees or hips, after a certain number of years you need a new one, and given the timeframe of when he had his artifical valve put in plus all the growing that he did since he might have needed to have it done maybe 1-2 years down the road after examining it. But they would've been able to figure out the timeline a lot sooner if he had been going to the doctor like he was supposed to, with the infection they caught it so by dragging my brother to the hospital Ellen saved his life twice over.

They moved him to a normal room yesterday and he needed to go to the bathroom soon after so I decided to walk around a bit, I went to the chapel like I've been doing every day since I've been there. I got done writing in the book when the jackass from the other night comes in and starts bugging me with questions then telling me God has power over everything and no matter what God always comes first, then he starts talking about how god chose people and was trying to convert me. When he FINALLY shut up I tried to say a few words at the altar like every other day but he wouldn't even let me do that, he kept interrupting me and trying to talk over me telling me I needed to beg him and praise him and thank him. I fucking get it dude your whole entire life is nothing but god and Jesus, mine isn't! I didn't even get a couple sentences in before I just closed my mouth and had to leave. Back to what's important my brother is doing a lot better and he knows about the surgery, he said after its all over when he and Ellen come up for the 4th of July he's gonna propose to her.

Is this guy affiliated with the hospital in some way, or there with a patient, or what?

If he's working at the hospital, his bosses need to know what he's doing.

If the jackass gives you grief in the chapel again, tell him to go read Matthew 6:5-8 and Luke 18:9-14.

That kind of behavior is completely unacceptable. He has no right to treat you that way when you're trying to pray in your own way.

From his clothes he works in the kitchen but I've never seen him whenever I was getting anything to eat, but yeah if he bothers me a third time I will be going to whoever is in charge and be raising some hell. I might just end up doing that anyway because I don't want him to do that shit to anyone else, considering what he said to me when I was scared that my brother would die I hate to think what he would say to someone who's loved one actually died.

As for the jackass bothering you, that's harrassment and needs to be reported to the hospital administration. Just go straight there and let them talk to whoever runs the kitchen. This guy has no business whatsoever trying to convert people or whatever he thinks he's doing. I don't care if he's on his own time or not. The chapel is there for everyone to use in their own way and they are entitled to privacy, peace and quiet while they're in there.
