I need prayers for my brother

Oh, yes, if he's a hospital employee that is most definitely out of bounds! Complain. I have no doubt he's done that to someone else who didn't have the brass to make a fuss because they were too distracted to think about it.

Or maybe someone has and admin has been waiting for another complaint to hit the last nail in this guy's coffin.

Don't feel guilty. What he did to you was cruel beyond measure.

I really wish my (well meaning, but stupid) Brothers and Sisters would stop this type of behavior and READ THE BIBLE. That is rude, cruel, and goes against many of our Lord's teachings.

There is good reason that ministers, chaplains, and priests spend 4 to 12 years in school before going out into the world. Much of that time is used studying and reading the Bible (I admit, I have meet a couple people who "brain dumped" after graduation, but they are rare).

Please, report him.

OT: I am glad to hear your brother is doing better. Hopefully he will be able to go home soon.

One of my brothers doctors was in this morning and they might be doing the surgery as early as Monday or Tuesday, he's doing better but there's a couple things bugging him so they said they might need to do it that soon. Staying positive.

I'm happy to hear that he's doing better. It's good to hear that he is keeping his sense of humour ("I'm Batman...").

As for the religious guy... is there someone that is supposed to tend to the chapel? I'd just mention to them (or a nurse) that there's a person who wouldn't leave you alone when you just needed some personal space. The guy means well, even if he's got the subtlety of a baseball bat.

Unfortunately I'm going to have to go home on Saturday, my dad is going to drive the 1st and 3rd parts of the way and jamie is going to do the 2nd. I want to stay longer but I can't, this is going to be the first surgery of his I won't be here for. He said he's a little scared considering its heart surgery, but the surgeon we talked to said replacing the artificial valve that's in there now is a routine procedure and is like changing a tire. This place has just about the same if not more awards than the Deborah heart & lung center back home in NJ, I know he's gonna be in good hands here. It's just upsetting that this is his first surgery without me, but mom, dad, and Ellen are gonna be with him. I'm gonna give him the Christmas cracker that Lauren picked out to give him tomorrow so he and Ellen can do it on Saturday night when she comes to see him, I'm gonna have mom text me what it says inside. Staying positive.

The drainage from his chest tube looks a bit better today, he's getting stronger and eating more too. We're leaving tomorrow morning so all of our stuff isgoing to be packed and put in the car tonight except for a change of clothes tomorrow, we're gonna go in really early and stay until after rounds so we can be on the road for 9. I also talked to the preacher about jackass, he said that it was upseting news. The chapel is not to be used like that and people are supposed to feel safe and comfortable not preached at so I gave him as much information as I could, apparently people have also been taking food in there during lunch and dinner and also sleeping in there. He thanked me for telling him and said if it happens again he'll talk to the guy and tell him it was inapropriate. Last night here, staying positive.

I'm about 3 hours or so away from home now, we left the hospital a little before 8. I'm gonna text my mom for updates, I don't like being away from him, but the doctors know what they're doing and I'm staying positive.

Surgeon is right; valve replacement surgery is pretty routine. Complications can always happen, but the benefits of the surgery must outweigh the risks or the surgeon wouldn't be doing this so soon. I'll keep him in my prayers

He had this valve put in when he was 11, he grew but it didn't and the infection didn't help matters. They're gonna put in a stronger one that's also size appropriate, they said the recovery time would probably be 8-9 days but judging by what I've seen of the physical therapy with him walking it might be 10-15 because he was having some trouble with it. I think once he's done with the surgery he'll have an easier time walking. Staying positive.

Michael's surgery is tomorrow morning, I'm staying positive but I'm nervous. When I know more I'll let you guys know, please keep the prayers coming.

My brothers surgery was supposed to be this morning but it got pushed to 9:00 AM Thursday morning because there was another patient who needed a heart transplant. All this waiting is making me nervous, all I wanted to hear today is that the surgery was successful and he's doing awesome in recovery. Staying positive.

My brother has been in surgery just about 2 hours and 15 minutes right now, all I can do is wait for an update from my parents. I know he's going to be ok but waiting is making me nervous, staying positive.

My mother called me just now and she said it'll be maybe another 2 hours until she and my father know anything, I'm asking for every single prayer I can get right now and staying positive.
