  • 15.51miles biked. on 2 hours sleep (throughout the day) in the last 24 hours. I didn't eat a damn thing today, really and I feel like hell. 2 cans of green beans, maybe a cup and a half of granola and 1/2 a cup of pine nuts. I should have at least 1800 more calories but I'm too tired to eat. I'll eat tomorrow.

      • Thirty minutes, 475 calories. Wasn't pushing as hard - knees gave me warning signs. Could just have been muscles in the knee area that were complaining about being used again so soon, but I'm taking few chances.

        • Down to 250 from 305. Now if I had a pool for low resistance workouts, I could probably get in decent shape. Still another .. 70lbs or so till 'average' weight.

Drinking 16 oz of ice cold water before eating or drinking anything help seems to work for me. Reduces calories because I don't drink as much caloried drinks, and don't eat as much either. Win/win.

            • Bugger. To stave off hunger pangs at home I've invested in a load of rice cakes. One of those and a smear of peanut butter seem to work, somehow. Just not for very long.

because theres absolutely zero nutrition. you could eat packing peanuts for all it matters.

32 miles last week. My personal record before that was like 22 in a week. Did ten miles today as penance for drinking entirely too much with a friend last night.

Rice cakes about 28 calories per packet, it reckons, but the peanut butter should be good for something, I'd have thought?

                  • Nothing wrong with rice cakes, low cal & have a bit of fibre at least.. & can be topped with just about anything. I always have a stash in to replace the bread I can't eat

ON a more related note, I did better at the gym yesterday than I have in ages. Back again today when I finally wake up

Natural peanut butter is good for you, regular Jiffy peanut butter is packed with a good amount of sugar. I'm not hating on rice cakes, some of them are pretty good, but the reason youre hungry is because theres zero nutrition in them. Eat a couple scrambled eggs, some lentils, or something similar. Better for you, lasts longer in the body, makes you feel better. I won't do any kind of exercise unless I've had a couple eggs/some chicken/a decent source of protein.

                      • Nothing majorly exciting
Managed more minutes on the various cardio machines than I have been managing lately and added a little extra weight to the leg press etc.

Been on a bit of a vicious cycle the last few weeks... depression & pain & those 2 feed each other!!

Ive found biking when I don't want to helps my moods. I hate the idea of biking, but once I'm on that bitch I just go. It clears my head after about 3.5 miles. You should try barbell squats sometime, better for you than a leg press. I liked that press until I did squats. I will never go back.
