  • Way to go, Cazzi!! Well done on the calorie burn, and on a healthy(ish) reward. after all, what's the point of working out, if you turn around and go get a milkshake...?

I did a second workout today, got a new DVD Jillian Michaels No More Trouble Zones. That workout KILLS. Rather than try the individual circuits, I just played the whole damn thing, (50 minutes of circuit training...) there were some exercises where I had to plop down on the floor, glare at the TV and flat out say "NO!" when Jillian said "come on, now it's time to do this exercise!"

all told, 50 minutes, 570 calories burned. When I finally get up the level where I can go straight through and do every exercise without modifications, I'll be torching calories!! Overall, not bad today.

Went for a walk after work, before class. Haven't calculated that calorie burn, yet, off to do so now.

Oh, and Plaid? EQ is right, Yoga is wonderful. As for the dumbbells, I'm not sure. I incorporate mine into a cardio routine. If you can't walk, what about a bike, maybe? Very low impact for legs and hips, helps me out when my knee is being bitchy. Good luck!

    • Plaid, have you thought about swimming? Great cardio, 0 impact.

I did 30 day shred again last night, 20 minutes, not sure how many calories. My poor thighs are killing me today--definetly need to strengthen them again!

      • Its the pain in my leg. Leg isn't in joint correctly. Tumor eating pelvis. Bone against bone grinding. Lately moving my left leg wrong causes pain in my right leg.

        So uh. Yeah. Plaidman sucks.

        • None of my pants fit. And my belt went to the sixth hole today. (Normally it was on 3 or 4.)

But I don't want to go shopping just yet. The ironic part is the jeans I was wearing yesterday I bought a few months ago but hadn't worn them until last week. When I bought them they were the first pair I tried on and they fit perfectly. I was all excited. Yesterday my roommate says "you need new jeans"....

Unfortunately all my weight loss is due to having been sick for so long; I haven't gained it back though and I'm trying to use it as a jump-start to being healthier.

              • Wow, feelin it i the biceps today...amd I only have light weights (though I used 'em for anout 45 mins)

The triceps, don't feel a thing. They need major work, I look like a gliding lizard. Anyone have good tricep (non gym) work outs?

Any tips for a guy who can't walk? I got some dumbells. Both 5 lb and 15 lb ones. I just not sure how to excersie them.
I don't know if this will be any help? I've been trying to find something similar to the exercises I was set by a physical therapist once, but most of them were aimed at the whole body so may not have agreed with your hip.

                  • Well, no gym today (technically it's still Wednesday since i haven't been to sleep yet) but I DID walk around two malls and a bookstore today. Probably did about 8-10 miles. Clothes shopping always wears me out.
