Well, I have running shoes being sent to me at some point soon. My baby brother is, apparently, ordering me a pair of running shoes and having them sent to me. So I guess I have to say thank you baby brother, for everything you do, even if it's just to listen, or help me get a pair of running shoes.
Actually, it does...you can burn quite a few calories that way actually.
Oh goody. don't feel quite so guilty for not working out last night.
This morning, got in 20 minutes with the Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred DVD.
Kind of a love/hate thing going on with that thing. Love that it's only a 20 minute workout. Hate that it's so intense, but I still manage to get mostly through it.
And now we crawl to the shower. After drinking a gallon or so of water. hehe
After a dismal total for last week of 1300 calories burned (overtime can have drawbacks), not to mention lack of portion control, and self-control, I hit the hill again tonight for three goes for fifty minutes, and 630 calories gone.
40 min elliptical for 460 cals, 3 arm/shoulder machines and 2 leg machines (well, inner/outer thighs). Too many people at the gym to do the treadmill though.
Fell off the wagon eating last week, especially over the weekend. Paying the price now as the weight went up and pants a little less loose. But I know a good amount of that is due to the salt in the stuff I ate over the weekend, so a few days and it will be gone.
A few people I haven't seen in a while said they can see the difference and my arms are getting some nice definition. Need to work on the biceps though!
Having had Easter this weekend, with the whole family, I can't say that the diet was held to. Plus, I ate quite a bit of meat, which always bothers me. I'm a former vegetarian who still trends towards a veggie diet, so my body hasn't adjusted to eating meat on a regular basis.
However, I was very good with portion control.
However, I didn't get out running at all, mostly because I don't know the land around my aunt's house, and I didn't feel like getting lost.
However, I did try to stay active, and all the cooking and cleaning probably helped with that.
Headed out on a short run tomorrow. 1.25 miles. Aiming for a 12min time. If I can hit that, then I'll have kept my <10min/mile pace. On Saturday, I"ll try to increase to 1.5 or 1.75 miles, depending on how difficult this week's runs will prove to be.
Mom commented that she hasn't seen me this thin in years. That felt really good.
Going to start running soon. Getting on a diet plan thanks to caloriecount.com. Been doing a lot of walking, and a lot more cleaning. Hoping to keep going, and get down to 165 soon. Starting today, weight is 195. At an approx BMI of 29.9, 5'7". Away I go into the realms of getting thin!
Hit the hill four times and then added a fifth slightly shorter one. One hour and twenty-seven minutes, 1150 calories, max pulse (on the final climb) of 176, but I was pushing it.
Doing some overtime tomorrow, so won't get to exercise. Made up for it today.
No workout today unless you count my 3 hours at the retail job on my feet.
But the extra weight showing on the scale yesterday was off today. Yay for water retention! LOL So I'm back to a week ago. Need to make a final push for the Biggest Loser competition I'm in at work.
