  • Did another walk this morning. 48 minutes, 373 calories burned, max pulse 162. It was so pretty out this morning that at times I slowed down, just to enjoy the sunshine and the wonderful breeze.

I think tonight I'm going to do some yoga-like stretching and work on some strenght training with my hand weights and swiss ball. Right now though....WATER!! <stumbles off>

    • I've been ... naughty.

Due to a combination of crappy weather (I can ignore rain, but showers piss me off no end) and going to a chum's house for a couple of nights, I've not done any hill walking since Wednesday. Soonest I can get back on it is tomorrow night, nearly a full week. I've done some crunches and the like, and his face when he saw me was a picture

I also ate with intent to amuse - just so you know. Added this, I commited an act of delicious baked goods when at his place, and this time I got to eat roughly half of them.

Back on the horse, folks. That's me trying to get my foot in the stirrups.

Just so annoying.....I was doing so well, really gettin in shape, was complemented for the weight I lost, and now its back with friends.....

Work just so busy....I was too drained afterward to work out, and I have come to hate the gym.

Those first two or three times back are the worst, motivation-wise. But then you get back in the swing and it's fun again. And really, I do have more energy when I'm working out so that helps too. You'll push through - all of us are supporting everyone else in this!

I had my workout partner again! His game was rescheduled last week because of rain until tonight. Didn't talk much this time either, and it was always me initiating but it was still good. He left before me but I still forgot to do the abs/back machine.

However, I'm determined to regain some of my flexibility. After the elliptical I could do the butterfly sit the way I used to - feet together, legs/knees flat on the ground and chest on my feet. I got down further in the splits than I though I'd be able to too.

A big opportunity came up at work for overtime (trust me when I say this is rare beyond belief), so I'm maxing out on what is available to me w/12 hour (13 hour after our unpaid lunch, really) days on Thursday and Friday. The gym is open an hour after I'm done working so maybe I'll try to go over during lunch to do some weights and do the cardio after - if I'm not too tired! But I want to not lose ground so I'll figure it out.

              • I def need to get my bum back to the gy, (which means I need more movies on my iTouch) and I just need to get in the woods more.

I'm trying to get my bf to start working aout as well....I need a work out buddy....but he lives a bit far from me, and we only see each other on weekends....hopefully we can get some hikes in (damn New England rains)

                Thanks for the support, all

                • Okay, Raps, Cat, and me. Back on the wagon together, okay?

Cos, I'm sure, getting drunk and eating junk food (alone - how freaking SAD am I?) probably wasn't a good move, weight-wise.

Let's all get back into it.

It's winter here now (almost). A very cold and wet week this week. I have a regular run planned tomorrow night while DH does a MTB race. If his race is cancelled I could contemplate backing out, but if not - I'm in. Out there, regardless of weather, running on the streets.

                  • Yesterday & today I did my moseying. However, today, my lower back hurt worse than it did yesterday.

Also, keeping a food diary & counting my calories have led me to this brillian conclusion: I'm going to have to cut out the fast food/eating out so much for lunch routine that I have hooked myself into. *le sigh*

Oh well, it's not the end of the world!

                    • Got bored of getting steadily wetter, so called it quits after three goes on the hill. 577 calories, and I really need to dry off.

                      Meh.

                        • I think this hike coming up will make me want to hike more......if I can get the time after work or on weekend.

We will see.....I'll only be away for about 5 days, so I can really see a huge change, but we'll be on the move alot, so I won't be bored and eat (except for the post hike food and beer binge)

                            • Hoooo boy do I have a tough week coming up.

Thurs & Fri, working overtime 13 hour days until an hour before the gym closes. I've considered doing weights during lunch and cardio after, but that's going to be tough to figure out (not to mention w/that long of a day I can't skip lunch!).

Weekend, gym isn't open. I do need to weed my flowers, but going to my mom's Sunday - Monday. No work Monday, gym's not open.

Tuesday I work at the bookstore = no gym on Tuesdays. Wednesday next week I have to take my kitty for her pre-surgery appointment (new vet) right after work. I am not going to drive home to get her, past work to the vet, back home with her and then back to work to go to the gym.

So I may be looking at a week without going to the gym. I do not want to backslide again!
