I got a text from Plaid, he was able to walk to his chair today, and sit for an hour. This afternoon he is going for a walk.

He is surprised to know he has 7 pages worth of get well soon messages.

Plaid looks like he's in good spirits, all things considered going by the pics.

That's awesome that he's getting up already and trying to move around, although that's gotta hurt like hell, it's necessary for recovery.

Oh very. That thing that he's holding in his hand is the button for his pain-med pump. He can push it every 15 minutes. Basically he can push it any time his hip even -thinks- about twinging with even a precursor of pain... and is currently passed out in a fairly good mood.

If it's spinal anaesthesia, as I think it is, you won't babble at all. You won't feel any different when you press the button, the pain just go away. Of course he may get some other painkillers too, he is looking somewhat high on something .

A text I just received from Plaid that he thought y'all should know:
