Good lord. Will someone just please duct tape Elise's mouth shut?

Good to see Jonathon gone...he had an overly inflated sense of his talent. Not to Elise's level, of course, but still.

Tommie is an airhead, as is Elizabeth. Which is a damn shame, as I'd love to root for Elizabeth since she's, well, a hottie. The other two guys on the blue team (Will and Paul, I think), are both capable, and mostly drama free.

Then there's Jamie and Jennifer, who seem to be the best cooks on the red team, but just don't make me want to root for them.

And Carrie, who I wanted to root for from the beginning, due to my weakness for redheads, but she alternates between being clueless, being incompetent, and being an airhead.

Which leave me with Natalie to root for: usually competent, good head on her shoulders, talented, and attractive. And rather mature for her young years.

Yeah, I'm shallow. So? It's just a tv show, and while I may be rooting for Natalie for shallowness, over and above that I am looking for the fall of Elise, sooner rather than later. She's got to GO.

I was surprised to find out Natalie's the same age as me. She's pretty damn good.

      I'm glad Jonathon's gone. Wanker.

I thought Jonathan had something going in the first episode, then I realized over the past few he's just clever at deflecting blame from himself. Gordon summed it up nicely at the end.

If the Red Team had lost, it would have been Carrie on her way out the door, though, not Elise.

The choice of Jennifer to lead surprised me as much as it did her, but I think her team mates picked her because she's the least controversial, and therefore able to cut through the BS.

Elise tried to throw Carrie under the bus with her attitude during the challenge. Hell, she did with that nasty spaghetti she made. I think she blew it on purpose, then got all over Carrie for messing up the pizza.

Really, though guys. How the HELL do you fuck up PIZZA?!?!?!?

My guess for the Final Five will be Will, Paul, Elise, Jamie, and Jennifer.

I've never tried to make flatbread pizza, but I've made french bread, english muffin, and bagel pizza. Not with fancy ingredients, of course, but hell, it tasted good!

If Jonathon was hurting that bad from a crick in his neck, why didn't he see the medic?

She also has been pretty consistent in her cooking performances. And she treats her teammates with respect.

When you're trying to prove that you're the leader that you actually aren't, and forget to actually focus on the dish you're making.

That being said, I just loved how Elise said that Carrie did nothing to help them win the challenge. Considering the fact that Elise did exactly what Carrie did, i.e., score no points, who is she to point fingers?

I agree with four out of five. I think Natalie will be in the final five, as I not only hope but believe that Elise will be her own undoing with her attitude. Well, that....and the fact that she's not nearly the cook she boasts to be.

Natalie reminds me of Christina from Season 4.

Thank god Tommy didn't do a Mikey (season 7?) and get a hell's kitchen tattoo. (he's the one with tatts)

Jennifer I agree on being a damn good cook and also able to cut through the BS.

The one thing I always try and watch for is who has improved the most over the season. take Danny from season 5 for example. The guy came up with a disgusting dish at the beginning, but ended up improving dramatically over the season. Nona from the last season is another example. Started out with an OK dish but kept getting better and better as the series went on.

And yes I agree: Elise seems to lack a mute button or off switch. Kind of a variation of Tenille from Season 6, except this version isn't the loud version, its the rambling "I don't shut the fuck up" version.

Ok, as I'm watching episode 9...

Not that I like Elise, cuz I don't, but at the beginning, I just wanted to smack Carrie upside the head for starting shit. Elise earned the kudos for the meat station. I hate admitting it, but she did.

The thought of Carrie putting herself on a plate makes me shudder. Not that she's unattractive exactly, but um...just no.

I want to taste Jennifer's dessert. But um...who the FUCK puts vinegar in a dessert?! -shudders-

You have no idea how tempting the idea of Elise being in a straitjacket is...

A fuck load of people ended upstairs...

And the elimination makes me sad.

I loved how Elise went on and on about how her dessert should have been included....and then when it got tasted, it got panned by all three chefs, and suddenly Elise was very, very quiet.

I hated how she insisted on starting shit, even when they were supposed to be celebrating a win and their prize in Vegas. Yeah, Carrie contributed, but when someone is constantly in your face, what are you supposed to do, just not say anything? Elise is going out of her way to antagonize Carrie, and it's just ridiculous. And I promise you, it is going to bite her in the ass. Speaking of which, way to be a team player and help your team win by not communicating with Carrie when she is trying to time food out. You are not just torpedoing Carrie, you are torpedoing your team, and because of it, you found yourself on the chopping block. Way to go.

And while I kinda like Carrie, when it looked for a moment like Ramsey was going to get rid of both of them, I applauded. And then he decided to keep them both. And the rest of the red team wanted to scream.

Right now I see Will and Jennifer as the strongest contenders, with Natalie and Paul as potential dark horses. There is no way that Tommy, Elise, Carrie, or Elizabeth can win this whole thing. No way, no chance, no how.

And for the love of food, why won't Elise die? (Figuratively, I mean, as in on the show, not literally.) Ditto for Christian in MasterChef.

Yeah at this piont I want both Elise and Carrie to go home. I was cheering until he told Jamie to leave.

And wth masterchef, why is Christian still there?

Yeah, I felt the same way. I was surprised he canned Jamie. Ramsey did have a point: Jamie just seemed to be going through the motions. But I think that had more to do with the terrible personalities she had to deal with than anything else.

Of course, dealing with personalities is part of the leadership process.

Carrie and Elise make for good television. A demoralized chef does not.

"you can be arrogant, but you have to humble yourself sometimes. No matter how good you know you are." Too bad Christian never actually did practice anything remotely like humility. He was too busy rolling his eyes every time someone who wasn't him won anything or had the spotlight in any way.

I was happy with the final 2 on Masterchef, and either could have won legitimately. In the end, the near perfect quail was the tipping point since they both wiffed on the deserts. Good to see Adrien get those wins earlier too; he deserved both of them, especially with the bickering Christian and Jennifer were doing. (Mostly Christian but Jennifer got a few jabs back as well).

As for Hell's Kitchen, so far not many are jumping out at me, other than I'm beginning to think most of the women's team should be booted out long ago. Hell bring Jennifer and Adrien in and they might win both MC and HK over most of those guys.

Why. won't. Elise. be. gone. already?!?

I'm sad that Natalie's gone now. I'm not entirely surprised, though--I think she just needs some seasoning and more experience.

                              Not surprised Carrie's gone.

But again. MAKE ELISE LEAVE ALREADY.

Out of the ladies, here are my views:

Elise: needs to work on her attitude and be a bit more humbling. Do not wind up being like Jen from Season 4-all cocky and loudmouthed and no teamwork.

Elizabeth: Somewhat airy at times, but admittedly she has done alright here and there. She seems to have a major confidence issue though.

Jennifer: My pick to win. She's come a LONG way.

                                Out of the guys:

Will: Also my pick to win. He has been consistent all the way through.

Paul: Another possibility, as he's come a heck of a long way. That said, he seems to buckle under pressure a little bit.

                                Tommy: He's faltering.
