Good for Jennifer for winning MC!

As for HK, I agree....why won't Elise just GO! She has proven two things: she can occasionally cook, and her attitude will NOT change.

My take on the other five:

Elizabeth: Airhead with no confidence. Short of a major turnaround, she can't win this.

Jennifer: Strong contender to win, as I said earlier.

Will: The other strong contender to wn.

Paul: The dark horse. He has a legitimate shot to win.

Tommie: A blithering idiot with no communication skills. He ha less chance to win than Elizabeth or Elise, i.e., none. The only reason he's gotten this far is due to the bigger screwups of others.

Feel sorry for the final two, regardless. They'll have to deal with both Elise and Carrie. The only hope they have is to keep them separate.

I agree with fireheart and Jester. I really think Will and Jennifer are going to end up being the final 2, barring some major fuck-up.

If Elise and Carrie aren't on different teams for the final, I think blood will be shed.

If you check the Youtube comments a lot of people are theorizing on one of those two as well. Paul has just as much of a chance regardless.

I wound up re-watching Season 4 of Hell's Kitchen right through to the final. Petrozza did a damn good job to get there and he had just as much of a chance at winning.

The other season that is ALWAYS and I mean ALWAYS worth watching again is Season 6. Why? Because Dave does a bloody good job one-handed.

Oh gawd yes, I agree. Dave was effing AMAZING. I still can't believe he did all that and not only made it to the final, but won. And for that matter, the other guy [Kevin?] had messed-up ankles. And they still both fought through it all. Truly amazing.

I still remember with what's his face...Matt...how much I wanted to smack him. He has a migraine. That's nice. I don't think your teammates care, Matty. I do understand how fucking awful migraines are--I really do. But in that case, he should have gone to the medic, found some migraine medication, and gotten back to work.

I think it also showed a human side to Chef Ramsay as well-more than one occasion he was worried that Dave wouldn't be able to continue.

As for the other contestants who pulled out due to injury, I think Dave set the bar incredibly high on how to cope with an injury.

Also apparaently Rachel from season 2 and Aaron from Season 3 are both dead Rachel was self-inflicted gunshot wound and Aaron had complications with his diabetes.

So I had to do a bit of searching because Youtube froze the person who was uploading the episodes (since I can't access the FOX clips and we're a season behind you guys in Australia).

I found the 30, 20 and 10 minute entree race interesting, although Elise's dish looked horrible. Even if the calamari had been cooked correctly, the dish looked somewhat horrible.

Man those boys were NUTS. Paul sticking his head out the limo....I was half expecting him or Tommy to repeat the scene from George of the Jungle where George takes off a car door.

Man Paul did a damn good job leading his team through service-he was consistent, he was delegating and he was able to pick up things.

This dinner service was definitely interesting, its like a combination of a special service and a time at the pass challenge.

And somehow, against all logic, despite her being nothing but trouble, despite her being on the chopping block more times than I can count, despite her crying whenever she loses a challenge (not a service, but a CHALLENGE!), despite her being everything that a true leader is NOT, that back-stabbing, selfish, horrible Elise is STILL HERE.

                  WHY?!?!?

If she wins this thing, she would be the most insufferable person to work with EVER. And I'd have to firebomb Hell's Kitchen, to prevent a travesty like that from ever occurring again.

Seriously, Gordon, what the F Word are you thinking here?

Also, can anyone else remember a worse group this late in the competition? Even Ramsey has commented on it. I can't wait to see this group get their asses handed to them by the All Stars next week. And I think that would happen even if the toxic Elise weren't there. With her acting as the cancer that she is, though, I don't think they stand a chance.

Can you really call them All Stars? The group is Trev, Jillian, Van, Ben and Tenille. Van wasn't that great later on in the competition. He was memorable, but not great. Jillian, Trev and Tenille I'll agree with, Ben I'm a bit on.

I wish that the All-Stars included Julia, Petrozza, Elsie and Ariel, that would've been a great All-Stars team.

And also, I can remember Ramsay walking out on a dinner service at least once in 6 and 8, can't remember if he did in season 7 or not.

Also, I doubt he'll keep Elise around much longer. He's looking for a leader. Leader? Sure, but she tends to be overbearing and doesn't allow for any opinions other than her own. This isn't the first time its happened in previous seasons right? Has anyone else noticed that those who end up being overbearing end up getting kicked? Other people who have proven to be leaders have ended up allowing other opinions or have tended to take a backseat.

I, too, cannot understand why Elise is still there. Her and Tommy. Both of them are kinda useless.

Ugh, Elise. Been a while since I have audibly muttered "Just shut the fuck UP. PLEASE" at a show this often. I haven't done that since, well, the last season of Hell's Kitchen ( Which was awful, frankly. No one deserved to win that one. ). This season is better, thankfully. The show was really slipping for a while ( Fox was practically manufacturing drama and outright lying in episode previews ). Its still way too far into the drama side of shit, but that's Fox for you.

Elise is there ( and still there ) because Fox wants her there for maximum drama. I'm pretty sure thats why Ramsay is always a hairtrigger from pissed on the show, especially in recent seasons. Half the contestants are chosen because they can cook, the other half are chosen because they have big, conflicting personalities that Fox knows is going to stir up Drama(tm).

I find it particularly annoying because Ramsay is shown as pretty much 100% Rage Beast now for ratings. Whereas if you've ever seen the UK versions of his shows, they're actually allowed to show him being human and you really get a sense that this is a guy that has a passion for this stuff.

With the US Hells Kitchen, its gotten to the point where he's basically just shown as struggle with the Rage Virus for the entire season except the last episodes where he's suddenly a caring mentor.

Though I do like it when he tossed out a reference to Dave at Tommy when he was whining about a twinge in his neck. ;p

Agreed on all accounts. Elise is there to make people hate her, which is why they give her so much air time.
That's why I love the F Word. You get to see his love for the art and how he encourages the brigades to be better through encouragement and a little bit of his usual "tough love" :P

One other thing, I happened to watch a re-run of Season 1 of HK US, and I was literally SHOCKED seeing Chef Ramsey quietly tell a contender: "Oh, this risotto is undercooked, please make another." The difference between then and now is too much to fathom. (Especially since they're airing the infamous Season 8 over here right now)

It was Jonathan. I actually thought he had something at the start of the season, but he quickly turned into a whiny bitch.

I appreciate how hard it is to have a migraine. I've suffered with them on a near daily basis for years . . . and rarely missed any work because of them. If I were on a contest like that with my professional future in the balance, I'd be popping the aspirin like M&Ms and getting on with business, migraine or no migraine.

Yeah, I tend to agree, this group of All stars isn't really. They're the also rans who almost made it. But it should still be intertaining. I kinda liked Van, even though he also turned into a whiner at the end. Couldn't cook fish to save his ass IIRC.

Elise is there for entertainment value and nothing else. There's always one contestant like this: all mouth, maybe some talent, but not a leader who makes it to the Final Five, then gets canned so the real contenders can shine.

My bet is either Will vs Paul or Will vs Jennifer. I think Jennifer is better than Paul, so my bet is on her. But Will will make it, and has a good shot at winning.

Tommy will be the next to go. He rode in on the coattails of his team and is lucky to still be there.
