There are 2 speeds of spelling, painfully slow and so fast it is all one jumble.

I don't know which is more annoying. With one you're waiting there typing every letter after you hear each one or you can't type anything because they're going too fast.

Same with phone numbers. The SCs rattle those off like nothing while I sit there and have to make myself look dumb by asking them to repeat it.

One of the guys that I went to school with has cousins in Malaysia. He says that his cousins really are that big. He said that they work as security guards. And as far as I know, South-East Asia can be a pretty scary place if you don't keep your eyes open.

I have an odd last name. I never assume anyone would ever able to spell it unless they are English and like bad pale ale because it is a beer and they may have sen it once on a pub sign. I spell it slowly but not insultingly slowly like my customers do. We take names with the film (so we can give it back, this confuses some folks, though they can't seem to bring in claim tickets so I think the logic would be crystal clear) There are 2 speeds of spelling, painfully slow and so fast it is all one jumble.

Not quite. That's seeing someone's mouth move. Sound is compressions in a fluid, travelling through the medium, and creating vibrations on your ear drum. You can't see that except under some specific conditions.
