Which games did you get? Haven't had a lot of time to play with it. We need to move the living room around. I loved the fitness one, though my knee did not like the zen stuff.

Unfortunately its not mine... but I want one!!!
My friend got a good selection of games to try out, from sonic the hedgehog, to Dance Central and yoga & sports & others.

Even though I go to the gym pretty regularly, some of the games are blooming hard work!! A couple have reminded me about how unco-ordinated I am too, spent half the time picking myself up off the floor

            • Have been working out 6 days a week for the past 18 weeks. So far I've lost 20 pounds and as of today I'm back into a healthy BMI of 24.9!

              • I went to the gym twice this week. Which is more than I've done in the last month+.

Monday I did about 40 minutes on the treadmill, and Wednesday I did 15 minutes on the elliptical (until my legs gave out; not used to that one), then I walked on the treadmill for 30.

I'm trying to use my treadmill time to listen to podcasts. I have about 12 days worth on my iPod. (One of them goes back to 2006 in old episodes. Some day I'll catch up.)

Today I will be cleaning my apartment, so I will get a workout in there.

                  • Beginner my butt.

So yeah... trying more excerise. Hey, beginner excerise videos on demand. How to workout and stuff.

Got completely winded within three minutes. Couldn't even keep up the so called beginner videos.

I'm so out of shape. And I need to exersise every other day for x amount of time. But I can't even reach a third of it.

I've tried other exersise. How the heck do you keep going if you don't even have the energy to lift an arm or leg after a few minutes?

                    • Plaid, do what you can to the limit of what you can possibly do. Don't get to the point of pain, but as close as you can. Do that, and only that, for like a week. Then, the next week, aim for comething small, like 5 more minutes, 3 more minutes, just SOMETHING more than what you were doing.

                      Rinse and repeat.

                      You can do it!!!

                      • Back when I started (not that I'm much more than fitful now), I was doing two and five minutes jogs on the Wii Fit. Took a little while, but I eventually managed to get up to the thirty minute jogs, and I'm sure I could have done more. These days, I restrict myself to a thirty minute session on the exercise bike, but I reckon I could do forty-five minutes without any real problem, barring strain on my knees.

                        Practice, mate. You'll get there.

                        • Plaid.. What T.A said! Do what you can that day & push a little bit more the next day.. even if its just 30-60 seconds!
I was the same when I started going to the gym, could barely manage 2 mins on a cross trainer, made myself do half a min or a min more each day & now I can do a decentish workout.

Although, going to be almost back to square one after this latest bout of being laid up, oh well, shall be a tortoise not a hare when I get back.. take it slow & steady

                          • 25 minutes (was intending thirty-five, but I overdid it early on) and 466 calories. Suspect the exercise bike may need some replacing at some point.

Max heart rate is supposed to be 220 minus your age, so I should be maximum safe level of 179. I hit 182. As I said, I think I overdid it.

                            • Gave it a couple of weeks due to overactive heart rate last time and sheer laziness. Thirty minutes, maxed 171 bpm, avg 161, 506 calories.
