  • This week, when I weighed in, it said I've lost 15 lbs from last week. I'm not sure exactly how that works, but that puts me at 20 lbs lost since I started sparkpeople.

Cat, have you tried on your thin jeans? Frankly hiking up and down mountains is a very good way to gain muscles.
Nah, the tummy is def a wee bit bigger. Meh, easy one, easy off. I ate well in NH

        • Hi. First post in this thread. I posted a few weeks ago that I had lost 5 pounds. Today I'm down 10 total! Woohoo!

            • I wanted to go to the park this weekend, but it was close to 100 degrees outside. Oh well, back to work tomorrow, so I can go to the gym and be bored on the treadmill.

              • This whole having to go up and down stairs thing is working out well, my butt already looks better (doesn't hurt that I think my hamster has a better memory so I am constantly fetching stuff from whatever floor I'm not on).

                • Well - after a huge, yawning gap in my gym attendance I've finally gone back. I have a new programme and it takes me about 90 minutes all told.

A stack load of resistance work and 1500 meters on the rower in 500m blocks.

I'm itching to go back (I went twice last week and today will be my second visit this week, third visit on Friday )

                  • Started doing weights every other day, and am trying to get to the gym everyday.

I went last night later than I usually go, and it was great! AC, few people, and since I ate dinner before, I wasn't starving

                      • I really really really want an exercise bike.

(Please don't suggest a real bike. I still have scars from the last time I rode one.)

                        • They aren't too pricy as far as gym equipment goes, you could try to find one off ebay or something.

                          • Try ebay, or try your local freecycle group in February - loads available about that time of year. Also available at other times as well.

                            • Bad news is I haven't lost weight except for the usual five I've been fluctuating lately.

The good part? This last week alone I've been more active than I have in months, and it felt wonderful. I'm on a high and I'm already planning another excuse to go walking somewhere.. anywhere..
