  • Colleague: When are you going to get new jeans that fit?

Me: I did on Tuesday. I'm wearing them!

At least I can be sure she's not staring at my bum!

    • Wii Fit age 27. Exhausted after 10 minutes of training, obviously the cold I had last week is still with me.

          • I.. have decided to toss my name into the pot for three reasons: 1. my kiddo 2. myself 3. as a challenge to a girl i know that wants to try and get back in shape together. wish me luck, if I find any good tricks or foods ill post.

(cutting soda! using stairs! eating less fast food! horrah!)
Crono: sounds like the machine update became a clusterf*ck..
pedersen: No. A clusterf*ck involves at least one pleasurable thing (the orgasm at the end).

            • Feeling guilty for only hitting the hill once last week. Hit it five times today - no real wind around, and very warm by my standards.

1030 calories, max pulse 180 (ouch), one hour eleven minutes.

              • So I decided to try and challenge myself.

I have a 7 speed mountain bike, (Diamondback Serenity) and when I ride it, I usually keep it on 2 or 3, and push at full force for about 30-40 minutes, with a few breaks for no more than 1 minute during the ride. Today, I decided I'd try to move up to 4, and see what happens.

Except instead of 1 click, I accidentally did 2, and ended up on level 5. I then pushed it full speed as hard as I could, not realizing I did a massive jump in resistance.

I only lasted 15 minutes on the bike path behind my apartment complex. My limbs are quite literally shaking, arms, legs, hands, etc. Whoa. won't be doing THAT anytime soon.

Although, according to my HRM and the bike computer I have attached to my bike, in that 15 minutes, I did 2.5 miles, burned 319 calories, and got a max heart rate of 178.

                I repeat. Whoa...

Still...not planning a repeat in the near future. Had more to post and a request for advice, but I'm gonna go get a shower, and do some more stretching. And drink another liter or 2 of water. Be back when my muscles settle down.

                • I ... have done nothing....

I've fallen off the wagon, down the hill, into the well, onto the turnip truck.

I've fallen and I haven't gotten up as I like it down here with all the chocolate I've found.

I'm going to try to motivate myself.

But first, I'm going to get myself better.

I had the first of 2 ultrasounds done on my body today. Today was the Doppler of my lower extremities. Layman's terms: Ultrasound of the legs. The guy who did it said it "looked good". Not sure if that meant the insides of my legs/veins look good or he was able to get some good pictures for the doc to review.

On July 7, I'm getting an echocardiogram. It's an ultrasound of the heart. An echocardiogram (unlike an EKG) can tell you if you've had a heart attack in the past.

I still have to find compression thigh-hi's or pantyhose.

I still have to get new tubing and a new mask for my CPAP machine.

Then when all my ducks are in a row, I'll re-start my exercising.

                  • No fear, Rummy. You have plans to get back on, and that's a very important step. *HUGS*

Oy, slightly stiff today...fun times...but the belly is flatter! Woohoo!

                      Thanks!

As I've said before, Child Rum is not the most ideal of walking partners as she wanders off to pick all the dandelions off of the yards of our neighbors. LOL.

There is a local playset for the kids to play on that I'm thinking of taking her to. (We'd have to walk, the street I live on is a horseshoe shape, and the playset is at the beginning of the first opening of the street (I live closer to the second opening)).

Plus, there's a bench there that I can sit on so when I get there, and if I'm tired, I can sit there. Whew.

                      • Four times, one hour, no running, 783 calories. Very hot and a little wind - always seems to put the pulse rate up. Glad I got this out of the way before the real day's heat began.

                        • Wii Fit age 33. This week has been kind of stressful, which meant I've been eating and drinking more and not exercising. I put on 1.1kg.

So my plan for today is to do Wii Fit exercises in between other things that need doing around here.

                              • Set a new personal best this morning, for me. morning bike ride, 3.82 miles in 35 minutes. Managed to burn 343 calories, too. Yay!

                                Proud of myself!
