Went to the gym yesterday. 30 minutes on the elliptical, burning anywhere from 260 (what machine said) to 460 (what internet said) calories.
-
Walked in again, finally without the cane. Back down to 25 minutes. Annoyingly, this is going to be significantly fewer calories burned. Hopefully the pushups last night help with that.

Did first stage of knee exercises to make sure I don't overdo them again.
Walked in to work again (with the cane), but had to take the stairs at this end because the elevator wasn't working properly. No pain so far in either the foot or the knees.

Hit the bike yesterday morning. 35 minutes, somewhere over 500 calories. Started to pay the price in the knees, though :/

I think I am gonna weight myself tomorrow morn, before the trip.....I will (try) to go the whole trip w/o counting cals, and hopefully get the all the planned hikes in. When we get back, I'll see if there is any change

Does anyone mind if I join in? I just started running about 2 weeks ago.
We have a park that actually measures your distance and tells you how far you are with little signs. The entire track is 4,200 meters long (I guess that's 4 kilometers, 200 meters? I really don't know metric)
Walked that pentagonito, as its called. Ran a little bit through it.
Bought new running shoes!! Very excited to try them tonight.

Walked in to work today for the first time since breaking my leg. Took 30 minutes instead of the usual 25. Only an extra kilometre or so over taking the bus, but I couldn't do it before getting the cane. My knees have been complaining at me again because the muscles atrophied so much, so I took the elevator. Very little pain

Gym & swim yesterday,... which included a 30 min session on the elliptical (phew!), Same again today, but cut the workout down a bit as I had to get to audiology.
Tomorrow will be a quick workout before slimming group... then can see what the damage is this week

I have gained about 3 pounds, and look a bit 'bigger' (maybe just in my mind)
My clothes still fit the same.....mayhaps I gained muscle??
Anyway, did a 4 hours hike up Mt Everett in Mass last weekend, 1300 cals, I think?
Walked some on Sunday, yesterday did a lunch walk and a mini hike. Today is all icky out so I'll either hit the gym or play Wii

Did the long walk at the park, and even ran a bit of it. Don't know the distance, but it takes about 40-45 minutes.
Looks like this will be the only decent day for doing anything outside...it's supposed to rain the next couple days.

w00 another pound off this week, and I will be well fed as I won a bag full of fruit & veg in the slimming class raffle
Absolutely shattered after gym & win though so I'm going to have a few jelly beans while I chill out watching csi for a bit.
I actually watched 20 mins of CSI on the elliptical this morning.. wanted to see to the end, but 20 mins was all I could manage!

That's a good idea, I keep meaning to take a book with me for the recliner bike.. I'm forever clock watching on that
The ellipticals at the gym I go to have freeview tv piped though them with subtitles turned on, so I can either giggle at the live news subtitles & the mess they make of them sometimes or could whip the headphones out of the mp3 player and listen to tv as well as watch.
Just wish it was on the treadmill too!

So far, I'm down 13 lbs from when I started Sparkpeople. Woot!
I got a new toy for when I'm working on the ellipical. We have an iPad at work.
I've been stealing it (with permission, of course) at night, so I can read the CS forums while going to town on the ellipical. It really helps get past my 8 minute attention span.

Haven't been as active as I should have been, and gained some weight back.....but I can easily lose it again as long as I am good.
